Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
Primary spec - Shadow PvE (Cookie cutter 8/0/31 w/ 2 points to float around for versatility) - I've been shadow since the beginning of ICC. As far as the spec goes, the two floater points are currently in Inner Sanctum since there haven't really been any fights in Firelands requiring Phantasm (slowing mechanics from T11 such as ToTFW's Conclave and Alakir). Mana hasn't been an issue as well, nor has healing received so Improved PW:S and 3/3 Mental Agility weren't opted for.

Secondary spec - Holy Pve - I'll be honest. I have no fucking clue how to heal anymore and this spec is mainly for speed queueing 5 man heroic dungeons. I am willing to change it (to disc) and raid with my dual spec if needed however I haven't healed in ages. If required to heal, I'd like it to be primarily as off spec and would go to the lengths of relearning how to heal. For now I'm not comfortable changing my main spec to heals however that may change in the future if a dire need arises.

My current DPS priorities are as follows:
1. Vampiric Touch
2. Devouring Plague
3. Shadow Word: Pain
4. Dark Archangel
5. Shadowfiend
6. Shadow Word: Death (under 25%)
7. Mind Blast
8. Mind Flay

The list is fairly simple - keep up all of your DoTs (giving preference to the harder hitting ones if forced to choose), line on use CD's as appropriate with other DPS procs, execute when possible and mind blast on CD unless empowered shadow (ES) is about to fall off. Mind flay as a filler.

As far as the opening rotation goes, I prefer starting with a VT pre-cast followed by SW:P (in hopes blizzard RNG will show me some shadow orb love) followed by application of DP and mind flay spam. If an orb manages to proc, cast mind blast, finish stacking dark evanglism and reapply DoTs prior to DPS CDs vanishing. AA and SF after.

Please note that I find s priesting to be very... situation based. These are only general guidelines of what I do on an opener. In the even that RNG completely disowns me some things do change. Other people have argued for different openers, however they all come relatively close if reasonably suggested and serve as a very minor portion of damage over the span of a lengthy fight such as Rag HM.

I keep to date with the latest shadow priest theory craft and am open to criticism provided there's some backing to it. I will admit that I've grown a little lazy as far as directly simming goes, however I am capable of checking the math behind sims and pseudo powers used for shadow priest stat comparisons.

Yes I have a mic and vent, and for the record, my mic no longer sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel/airport/under a bridge.

Do you have an authenticator?
I'm going to reply "yes" to this in the event some vicious worm is looking for some scrubs to hijack.

Typical Weekly Playtime:
I can make all raids listed (7:45 - 11 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday) with the exception of heavy exam weeks and family visits. Prior notice will be given well in advance when these things interfere with raiding.

Previous Guilds:
ReD StuFF (Drenden): Position - member (raid healer) (no affiliation with the officers). That last part as added due to repetitive ninja'ing incidents that ruined the guild name. The officers mass vanished after numerous ninja'ing incidents and the guild died shortly thereafter.

FAIL (Drenden): Position - member (raid healer). I quit WoW during my first semester in college and wanted to focus on my studies till I became adjusted (and raiding wouldn't potentially become an issue). Although going inactive on good terms, my spot was understandably not available once I returned for WOTLK. I left in search of a raid spot.

Defenders of Tarren Mill (Drenden): Position - member (dps). This guild was mostly for casual play. I remained here and geared up my character for a good several months until finding a more serious guild that accepted me. It was also frustrating to see that 55% of the damage done on Saurfang was from my lone self...

Heresiarch (Draenor): Position - member (dps). I remained in this guild for a good year and a half, progressing up to 11/12 HM on 25's and 10's. The guild master and several officers decided to take an extended hiatus until Cataclysm and many raiders followed suit (as did I). Upon returning, the guild had switched to 10's and real life pals convinced me to server transfer for a private 10's group with them instead.

<Click> (Draenor): Position - veteran (dps). I've been in this guild for about three quarters of a year now (all through T11 and T12). As of late Rag HM has seriously disheartened many of our raiders. The raid as a whole has actually regressed from consistent pushes into P4 to a P1-3 wipefest. The officers gathered us all on vent this Sunday (10/30/11) and informed us that they were all quitting/server transferring and that the guild was going to downgrade to 10's.

NB: These are all relevant raiding guild's that I've been in. They were all left on good standing with the members/officers (or so I'd like to think... wai u no love me Sobe? D: ).

Why are you applying to us:
I realized sometime after leaving Drenden that I raid mostly because I enjoy doing so with friends (and not primarily for progression, though I do love progressing). As mushy and pathetic as this may seem on my end, with the dissipation of my current guild and scattering of former guildies there, it would be easiest to raid here where a majority of ya'll are still collected.

Power Auras - I keep track of numerous buffs/debuffs. As chaotic as it may seem in the screenshot, not everything is always procced at the same time so its fairly manageable and doesn't affect my raid awareness.

World of Logs Report:
Shannox HM - In this log I'd like to mention my ability to maintain relatively high DoT up-times on high mobility targets such as Riplimb and Rageface . I understand the damage done on the dogs was rather useless aside from breaking face rages however this content is well farmed and "padding" did not affect the final outcome.

Alysrazor HM - I would like to note that this was my second time ever flying for Aly HM. After obtaining the necessary experience on my end within 2 kills (and one wipe) my damage output increased a fair amount. This log ought to display my ability to learn quickly and to adjust as needed.

Alysrazor HM Take 3 - I'm going to plead guilty on this log and fess up before questions arise. It was a terrible raid night (as indicated by the multiple wipes on almost every farmed boss) and the raid as a whole had a defeated demeanor. That said, I did in fact miss the last ring on Aly HM while flying and remained in the air to continue dpsing prior to firestorm. After surviving the firestorm via dispersion, I realized that I had missed the last ring and the flying buff didn't last long enough to refresh. I fell to my death like a newb and could not activate levitate in time. In hindsight levitate is now macroed to myself for that particular fight and I now have enough experience to realize whether or not the buff will last long enough despite missing a ring. [/list]

Tell us a bit about yourself:
20/Male/Georgia. I'm currently a 1st year pharmacy student. Oh, and I have a huge hard on for DI/FM/PI/ToT and dps trinkets - but you all knew that.

Additional Information:
Average FPS: ~60 FPS on high settings
Average latency: In Stormwind: ~60 ms home/225 world | In Raid: ~ 60 ms home/125 world
NB: Please keep in mind these numbers were from a Pacific server.

I'm still not completely sure what I want to do since my guild just recently fell apart. This section is to simply let you guys know that I'm interested but not committed yet if accepted. I'll update this thread with more information as I become more decisive.
