Giants had some steam and matched up decently on paper against the Pack, so I figured they had an outside chance of winning, but even at my most optimistic I didn't think they'd stroll into Lambeau and stomp Green Bay like that. My favorite football teams are the 49ers and the Giants and I also spent the afternoon Curling, so today was a very expectedly good day.

I wasn't surprised that the Giants ended up beating the Packers. 3 main reasons:

1) Packers have one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season. Only reason they won all the games they did was because their offense was ridiculous, but getting into the post-season, who hasn't seen their offense by now?
2) Giants actually have a good offense (albeit pretty unpredictable), and a surprisingly good defense.
3) I wholeheartedly believe that the Packers came out too confident in their ability to win. Aaron Rodgers is good, but I don't think he's then 'I'm going to carry this team to victory!' good.

This week should be exciting. 49ers vs. Giants and Ravens vs. Patriots. Since I despise the Pats, I'd love to see Giants and Ravens play for it all, but with the 49ers decent offense, good chance Giants will be out.
