So I know a lot of people are complaining about pet battles since they are pretty much a straight rip-off of Pokémon and was wondering what people thought about it. Personally I think Pokémon was an awesome game and it will be fun to wreck people my with disgusting oozeling during those times where you log on and there's nothing else to do.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they are going to fix "account" items like heirlooms and shit to be cross-realm and truly account bound. I'm guessing there are some pretty hefty technical limitations they are facing since it has taken so long to implement, but a new expansion is a good time to roll out a big structural change like this. Also, I need to get looking into some pet databases to see who I want to battle.

Test realms up yet? I may export my char and see how it all works later. Also, I'm going to have mixed feelings on boas actually being boa seeing how I've farmed up two sets of boa caster gear already

Pet battles is next expansion not next patch. Have to wait for beta.
