Man I don't understand how people can take xanax on a daily basis. I was dating a crazy girl once who had some and I took a bar one day. I remember nothing about that day. Apparently I went to a party but have zero recollection of the event. I vaguely remember an ice luge and that's it. Sad that they are giving it to dogs to help them recover from war horrors.

On the white coke cans it's really not surprising. People are idiots. I think my favorite consumer rage was with Sun Chips making a new bag. They try to be a hippy healthy food so they go and make a bag that will compost in landfills. The hippies rejoiced. Then when the bags came out everyone threw a bitch fit because the bags turned out to make way too much noise so consumers wanted the old bags back.

Back to the subject of happy pills. Does it bring anyone else's piss to a boil that they are prescribing anti-depressants and shit to younger and younger children? I mean god damn. You fill a child up with sugar and he doesn't want to pay attention and run around like crazy so you give him some speed to help him focus. Now if your kid starts to feel bad about something just load them up with anti-depressants. Not dealing with reality is not a way to go through life. Makes me sad when I see someone who hates her life but just doesn't give a fuck because they get through the day on horse tranquilizers. /end rant

Eh, it's a byproduct of modern society. Doctors and pharmaceutical companies are incentivized to pump drugs into people as much as possible, parents (and people in general) want to take less and less responsibility for their problems, and we coddle the shit out each generation more so than the previous.

Life doesn't grant you some unalienable right to be perfectly comfortable and happy every day people. Shit is hard sometimes. Suck it up. Sure the inexorable progress of civilization raises the expectations for creature comforts, but unless you're in a situation where you're actively trying to survive on a day-to-day basis you really don't have anything to cry about. Can't get a job? Try harder. Stuck in a dead-end marriage? Work it out or divorce the bitch, stop sitting on your ass. Hate your life? Deal with the consequences or go ahead and die, no one will miss you.

I was hoping that the economic climate would make the youth of america pull themselves up by their bootstraps, but of course the lasting image from 2011 is a bunch of unorganized and disheveled hippies pitching a tent in NYC. Humanity would disappoint me if I didn't have such low expectations for it in the first place. Good news is that if you actually have some willpower and intestinal fortitude you can basically steamroll all these losers.

Hmmm this got me thinking. Animal anti-depressants could be a pretty good racket. Convince someone their dog is depressed and sell them anti-depressants. I can definitely see some yuppie housewives forking out cash for some pills for rover.

The funny part about those bags, was that they weren't even biodegradable. There were pictures of people that had them in a compost pile for like 6+ months deep in the shit and came out like nothing even happened.
