Sounds like you've given it the most thought, making you an ideal candidate for the job.

Edit - I like the sound of challenge mode dungeons.

Well, this is all pretty early. Lots of time for them to change their minds and not put in the Abyssal Maw raid after all. I mean, change racial bonuses.

I actually still expect them to nerf the Goblin racials a bit.

Hrm, really good offer if you plan on sticking around for the expansion:

http://us.battle.net...Free-10_21_2011

Sign up for 12 months of WoW, get free Diablo III, guaranteed spot in Pandaria beta, and a mount for 4.3. If you're going to spend the money anyway you might as well (though the offer reeks of desperation on Blizz's part to lock in subscribers until the Pandaria launch). If Diablo III costs 50 bucks that's a little under 11 bucks a month for WoW.

I'll probably sign up, not sure how much I'll be playing in the next expansion but I'm 90% certain I'll keep my account active.

Yeah, the whole D3 tie-in is the first piece of information I've seen that suggests that the customer attrition is anything other than normal mid-expansion losses.

That having been said, I do think the new stuff looks pretty nifty. I don't know that I'd personally be interested in all (or even most) of the stuff they're adding, but I can certainly see how plenty of other folks might like the stuff that I don't.

Hmm, didn't you end up saying the same thing when Cata came out, Sobie?

Hmm, so basically, each class will have 18 total talents all effectively 1 point. You then get to pick you spec, and you get to pick 6 of the 18 talents (6 times, you get to pick 1 out of 3 available talents). When leveling, you get a new class ability every 10 or so levels.

So there will be times when you basically go 9 levels without getting a new ability. I was gonna complain about that, but they've made leveling sufficiently fun and streamlined at this point (since the focus of the game is clearly on end-game, and that's more firmly so apparently in 5.0) that I guess its not a big deal anymore, as it all passes by pretty quickly now.

Nah, I quit when we stopped raiding in August, was a few months before Cata came out. Wasn't really bored of the game at that point, just not much to do. And I wasn't sure what I was going to do career wise, was contemplating a move to the UK at one point. Now I'm pretty settled in (not making as much money as I would have if I went, but much easier hours) but bored of the game. That and there was this:

I still have some concerns about how the leadership is going to shake out; I think it's beneficial to have a core of officers that are active and participating, and I'm not quite sure who is going to fill the vacuum just yet (and I was of the opinion that Ryan had too much on his plate as is in wotlk).

For a bird's-eye-view, there's always a lot of talk about implementing changes, but all of them take a lot of work on the officers part. It really is a thankless job, and ideally you have 3 or 4 motivated and selfless people sharing the load and keeping the momentum going. I do feel as though we've had a couple of officers this expansion that didn't contribute much - as always with the caveat that I don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes, just the stuff I observe and random things people bitch to me about.

And I don't mean to come off as all doom-and-gloom, I think Heresiarch will continue just fine in some iteration; it'd just be nice to have some clear direction going into a new expansion.

Foreshadowing like Tiresias up in this bitch.

I thought about monks... but then I saw how many awesome trolling mechanics blizz gave to priests so I'm sticking to my guns >>

Wait, so you're warning us you've been rereading Dune and are about to spend 7.years as a woman?

Or that we need like 4 more officers.

I wasn't kidding about holding auditions for GM. Especially not kidding about bribing with nudez.

Vote for me as GM my platform includes:

  • Abolishment of Decocks
  • Bringing back drunken wednesdays
  • Global mute on wrathblood
  • Changing the guild tabard to a lobster (in the event its not?)
  • Catling promoted to officer status
  • I will now dps as a healer spec, because whats the point in me healing if im not allowed to go in the portal?

Also ill be ninja'ing the guild bank and transferring to play with bearforce

I'm afraid I can't abide by your second plank, because it suggests I'm not allowed to raid while intoxicated on non-Wednesdays, and that just doesn't work for me. Otherwise, sounds good. Muting me isn't an issue. As long as I can hear myself talk, its all good.

Drunken Wednesdays only applies to healers in the healer chat channel noob. Although usually it would just be me complaining about how OP resto druids are, whilst steadily blowing through my roommates liquor.

Disqualified for lack of nudez.

Oh, if it only applies to the healer channel, then I'm against it on general principles, because I think I'm still banned from it. Also, on general principles I demand to know why you're oppressing the other healers and refusing to let them get drunk. Sounds pretty damn un-Canadian of you, really. Brb, calling ACLU.

To tell you the truth looking at the first few level abilities for Monk, it seems like it would be interesting. Specially considering that it looks like how they heal is doing a lot of DPS with the Jade Totems down, which sounds like they could be really strong at AoE/Raid healing but bad tank healing. But it's still early in the game and what not, so it would be interesting to see how it all boils down to. Looking at some of the new abilities changes though, mainly for priests, having an AoE root and a "Psyfiend" that fears people every 2 seconds for 10 seconds in a 40 yard range sounds freaking OP.

I will also say this, a bunch of the new abilities sound like shit from League of Legends.
