Not sure if it was intended by Guin but I'm bouncing ideas off him in hopes that the applicant can pip in something interesting/substantial (so far neither of us have presented any solid evidence - I'm doing that on purpose to see what Skuggi can contribute)...

Sadfacing at the fact he hasn't yet =/

You're just talking over each other at this point, he's already mentioned that he's having a hard time keeping up with the posts. Shut up and go post on the forums for your actual guild.

Sorry that the last *counts* three days have gone: work, eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep. But I have tomorrow off. And 'no effort on my end' is bullshit, since I did reforge suggested pieces, reenchanted my gloves, and regemmed my boots. I just haven't had a friggen second to log in since the day after I posted my app.

Now to what's been going back and forth between Guin and Hec- In theory, sure, SW:P before DP COULD mean a shadow orb earlier, but Blizzard only has so many people dedicated to fucking Spriests over on RNG, and we'll all just have to wait our turn.

Bitch and moan about FM/DI? Do so on a daily. So no worries there.

I had never considered DPSpam on movement purely for the fact that my mana would die in a fiery fire for doing that, and my apparitions /seem/ to do close enough to my Mind Flay while I'm moving to make up the difference until I can stop. Say that on a fight, you have DI and FM so vent chatter isn't needed, and after you've SFiended, AA'd, and all that fun shit.. You have to move, and you DP to near oom, then either do no direct damage while dispersed, waste a big mana cd (hymn) that could be useful later (especially in a 10man), or just not DP, let your Apparitions do their thing, and sustain past the first 90 seconds of an eight minute encounter.

Those are things that should have been taken care of before you even apped, as noted in the "Heresiarch is looking for... (Start Here)" thread:

- Show effort in your character - proper PvE spec with gems and enchants.

The same could be said about displaying class knowledge, as noted in the "Guild Application with Application Examples (Updated for Cataclysm)" thread:

Taking time to work on your app (especially if you were going to be busy in the interim) would have made a better impression and saved everyone involved time and effort; there's no "deadline" for apping, you could have submitted this whenever you wanted. Do you usually work on Sundays? That could be a conflict since we raid on Sundays.

If you're going to complain about time spent in an app thread, I would like to point out that there was a conversation going on between two apparently existing members without room for the person applying to respond. And I've already talked to chenda. four out of five times, I work the asscrack of dawn on sunday, so I'd be here for raid time.

And I chastised them for the sake of bringing this back to about you, though again the entire back and forth between Hec and Gunther wouldn't have taken place if you wrote about your opener in your original app. And I wouldn't necessarily say that you didn't have room to respond. From what I've gathered so far you're cavalier when it comes to talking to random strangers so I would've just dropped the knowledge bomb and put them both in their place. So take as much time as you need for your next response, if you've gotten the impression that there's some sort of time limit, there isn't (Some of the apps I responded to today have been sitting there for multiple weeks).

So is this 4 out of 5 times just on Sundays? Or Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well? If you've told Beiber she hasn't relayed it back to us (too busy teaching kids about shameless sluts at work apparently).

When a post starts "Guin-- <Giant schpeel!>" I generally assume it's the only medium they had to hash something out. And Hec and I had covered a helluva lot before Guin had even posted the first time. In all seriousness, the only way to really see if I know my shit is to put me in front of a dummy in game. I look like shit on paper, and I know it.

1.Sobes right. fixing gems, enchants, reforges is not showing class knowledge. Its brainlessly fixing what only the brainless would have unfixed.

2. If you run simcraft comparing the two, SWP >DP means more dps. Insignificant when run 1000 times and when considering 6+minute fights, but getting ES up as early as possible is almost always a priority (only time its not is when procs line up for AA usage).

3. On heroic expect to have to pop hymn of hope for the healers anyways. Theres no such thing as wasting it, expect in the first 10 seconds of the fight, healers will never be topped off on mana. Expect to play without FM and DI, they will will both go to our resto druid generally, because healing is our groups weakest department.DP spam while moving is not optional. If you are having mana issues, you can weave in deaths to regn mana when moving, and use dispersion on moderate dmg phases if there's no big dmg spike incoming.

Seems like you understand the concepts, and just need practice playing with them. If this app is being considered, I would love to see how he handles the rag retard test.

Don't worry. If you visit the forums enough you learn to ignore posts from both of them.

My impression of a post from hec.

Anyone can dps a dummy, like i said shadow priest rotation and mechanics are easy. I want to know if you can do decent dps while dodging shit, and being aware of everyone else in the raid (should i hymn for healers, should i shield myself for this upcoming crackle on nef, should i hold off on SWD until the aoe dmg ability is done, should I grip decocks out fo dumb shit cause hes bad, etc...)

Agreed. There are things he could work on, but he's shown that he doesn't drool on himself in terms of class knowledge, and, as Sobie would probably attest, there's basically no substitute for being aware and able to mash keys well. We'll take him to something (I dunno if we'll just throw him into Rag or a hard mode, as informative as that would be), with attendance to some degree determining what.
