Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
I got everything that really mattered on a regular basis, plus Psychic horror (since I'm too lazy to respec, but still enjoy my duels). The only cookie cutter talent(s) I changed were opting for more reduced mana cost out of disc, versus reduced magic damage taken with Inner Fire up. Mainly because I know how much it pissed Bel off while she was healing me :D

Ventrilo and do you have a mic:
Some might say I use both a tad too frequently..

Do you have an authenticator?
Indubitably good sir(s) and or madam(es)!

Typical Weekly Playtime:
Whenever I have some time off work, and I'm not WINNING at Dead Island.

Time Zone:
Central Standard Time

Previous Guilds:
Hydraxis(realm): Guilds: Ten Ton Hammer, Redemption, Kalimdors Legion, Remnant, Regicide, Dusk before Dawn (Or something like that..). Ysera(Realm): Guilds: Midnight Redemption, Surreal, Serenity, Lunacy, Nephalem. Drenden: Drama Society.

Previous Raiding Experience (Only content completed within 6~12 months of release matters, we don't care that you can solo Kara at 85):
Naxx 10/25, 13/14 Uld 10 (8 hardmodes) 3/14 Uld 25 (0 xmodes), 12/12 R ICC10/25 12/12 H ICC10, 9/12 H ICC25, 4/4 Reg BoT, 1/5 H BoT, 5/6 Reg BWD, 0/6 H BWD.

Why are you applying to us:
Because I was informed that Heresiarch had the largest funnel-per-member ratio. All that matters to me. Oh, and some bad priest named Beleavere.

Link us your Armory:
http://us.battle.net...Skuggi/advanced

Screenshot of your UI, preferably in a raid environment:
I haven't raided in two months, what do you want from me!? (I use 100% blizz standard, though :D)

World of Logs Report:
I don't have any, but I'm available on Sunday if there's a run, so my dps can be recorded.

Do you know anyone in guild? If so please list your pals.
Beleavere. and I find myself doubting that Guinthel would remember me so probably don't bother with that.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
Everyone knows someone like me. I'm that one person that you question their intelligence on a regular basis, but I have random outbursts of pure genius. And I'm hilarious as fuck. Just bee tee dubs.

Agreed to the fact that he's better than Beleavere. Not that that's hard.

Interesting. Recently someone (a fairly reliable source of information. ie. not Beleavere) was telling me very complimentary things about you and suggesting that you might be contemplating a change of scenery. A log is pretty much a necessity for a dps role, so something will have to be arranged on that front.... hmm, will edit this shortly.

I've heard good things too, maybe it was Hecatus/Civic/Puddingcup, one of those spriests that used to be here.

Naw, I doubt Oshi keeps track of anything horde side anymore lol. Wasn't me either and Civic vanished off the map right?

Anyhow, if ya'll want I can pop over to Drenden and run a series of dummy exercises to give you a pretty good general idea of how he'll handle if that helps.

Gear looks alright as a whole seeing how t11 4 pc wasn't that great of a dps boost... (Damn you blizz!)

As far as anything else goes... He should probably use 65 mastery to gloves, a red gem in his boots, cloak hit reforge to spirit (as trivial as it can be) and magic damage reduction over reduced mana costs. Not sure why a shadow priest is worried about mana - ever - especially w/ shadow fiend, hymn of hope, dispersion, AA and masochism...

As far as his glyphs go... I'm not a fan of the fact that 3 slots are empty. The major dps ones are all in place but he's seriously lacking some utility w/o the mass dispel glyph (inner fire is also nice over the never proccing glyph of spirit tap) and glyph of s fiend/fort (show your healing priests love, save them mana and buff during an encounter).

Edit:

Curious as to how much he knows about s priesting as a whole. Can you order the following stats with regards to importance towards DPS?

Spirit, hit, mastery, haste, int, crit, sp

Can you also create for me a priority flow chart as far as spell casting goes please?

Oh, and how the hell do you track dots w/o addons?... I can't imagine that ever being efficient...

Well, I've often been told that listening to Sobie and I run a raid is much like sitting in on one of the Accounting Department's staff meetings, so I think Six Sigma would fit nicely.

Hey Skuggi, if you get into a raid the first thing you need to say to Wrath is: "Please explain in great detail every aspect of block mechanics."

Its sad, but most of Heresiarch at this point has probably never had the joy of listening to me expound on the glorious heaven-on-earth that is block mechanics theorycrafting. They've been threatened with it often enough, but the truth is that once Mastery took over as the "master" stat for block tanks, the mechanics got a lot simpler and everyone turned into block experts because it was the best way to gear. Expounding on the intricacies of block now basically boils down to "stack Mastery until your eyeballs bleed, and hit Holy Shield on cooldown". Its just not the same. /sigh

Anyway, back on topic. I'll leave the shadow stuff to people who know about it, but I notice you've got a disc off-spec. Lets do a hypothetical and assume that all of Voodie's vintage furry porn was stuck in a burning building, and the only thing between it and fiery destruction was your competency/gearing as a disc priest. Would you be able to save the day, or should we break out the marshmallows?

Wouldn't we let it all burn anyway?... What other decent purpose can furry porn possibly serve aside from making smores >_>?

Hey don't lump me in with your logorrhea. Most of what I say is relevant to someone; I'm not the one who has to go over exactly how much each spell hits for.

I want to do a study on how many replies it takes before an app thread is completely derailed. My guesstimate would be about 5 or 6 replies before someone jams a stick in the spokes.

Yeah, after a while you start to worry the app is going to come back and be like "WTF happened here? Where do I even start..."

I am actually thoroughly amused upon reading all of this. I opened the page, found my app and almost yelled "What the fuck? 13 replies?" since the last app I put in (Like 2 years ago T~T(Not to Heresiarch)) took a week to get a single view.

Okay! Uhm.. Now I'm trying to remember how much of my ass I need to cover since I got picked apart worse just now than I have before. The one I'm remembering is the mana cost talent, so while I never have mana issues, I do oh-so love pissing off Bel. ONLY reason behind it. She was on vent with me while I was redoing my tree at 85, screaming "GET THE MAGIC DAMAGE REDUC. GET IT!"

About chant/gem - I had the Flamebloom gloves the day after I hit 85, dropped the enchant I was offered on them, and never thought about it again. The gem was very similar, because I actually had those boots before I was even level cap, threw a gem in there thinking "Oh, hey. The hit will probably help." from the spirit, and - again - never rethought.

Glyphs - I covered level 1 to 85 in about a month and a half. That I had ANY glyphs was purely out of the kindness of a guildie of mine. (I rerolled on Drenden to play with Bel, and had no money.) And if ever i actually looked, I really didn't consider utility whatsoever. It was all about "I have the glyphs that make my BOOM spells a little BOOMier."

In my gearing, priority goes: Int (unless a secondary stat gain significantly outweighs the int loss), Spirit (to hit cap), Haste, Mastery, Crit.

About tracking dots. I've been playing an Affliction warlock for going on 5 years, normally on computers that couldn't handle any addons. The dots speak to me. And I whisper sweet nothings back.

My priority flow chart: Start of fight: VT, DP, SW:P, Flay->1 orb, Mind Blast, 5 Evang stacks? -> AA+Other CDs, Flayflayflayflay while keeping dots up, and keeping emp shadows up (constantly praying Theralion's Mirror procs right before I hit my 3orb MB.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, I take issue with your signature, because I always go for the shiny staff. Always. It makes me feel happy. :| Figured I'd put that right there.

Are you still broke? Not having any gold for enchants/gems/glyphs could be an issue.

Skuggi, I've got a new project for you to complete asap: fix your gemming/enchants/reforging/glyphs.

I'm not saying they're all broken, but its time to sit down and do it properly, ideally today-ish. If you don't, that's a pretty strong sign that you aren't willing to take things seriously (Obviously we like to have fun, but if you can't also take things seriously you're unlikely to be useful on hardmodes). Also, how you do it gives us an idea of how well you know your stuff.

Nahh. I'm good now. Sitting on about 5k and a loaded cousin. :|

Or, I could actually re download my routes/gathermate and go herb for an afternoon. If I really need money.

And @Wrath. Logging in to check my stuff. Though I would like you to know, for every point of haste I lose, God kills a kitten. Hope you can live with that.

Edit: Hmm. Apparently I did something pretty dumb-tarded and bought.. every.. heirloom helm/cloak :| For some ungodly reason. But, on the bright side! Reforged cloak as suggested in one of the earlier posts, regemmed boots, and now hunting down 12 greater essences to put Lavawalker on my boots, and Mastery on my gloves.

Just a few minor amendments to your start up rotation:

Start of fight:
VT
DP
SW:P
S-fiend
Flays->1 orb
Mind Blast
5 Evang stacks? --> On use CDs (w/ or w/o RNG procs, w/ procs ideally)
Reapply VT/DP dots
AA
Flayflayflay + MB on CD (assuming it'll be up in time to keep up ES)

Now just curious - on your end, why did I make the changes that I did?

Also, I'd strongly STRONGLY recommend investing in some BoEs to get you around 200 more haste (227 to be exact). Do you know why?

The changes I noticed (Sfiend, applying dots again before AAing) are so my sfiend has a higher uptime. (Earlier used, longer time spent letting my mindflay crits refresh him) and refreshing dots before AA is so that they retain the 5stack evang 10% buff. I toyed with this, but I noticed that the dots worked like affl locks in that they look at what buffs you have before they tick and deal damage based on that, rather than "Ohey. I had 10% bonus dot damage when these were applied, should stick when I take away the 10%, before I regain the stacks via mindflay."

Edit: At haste question. An additional dot tick from the 2600-ish plateau, yeah?
