Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
Current Talents are 32/0/9 Fungal Growth>Gale Winds and 1 point in perseverance for reduced damage particularly in Hardmode settings. Raided as Boomkin and Feral Tank in icc and toc

Ventrilo and do you have a mic:
Both

Do you have an authenticator?
Yes;mobile

Typical Weekly Playtime:
15hours or so; when i apply to any guild i make sure i am able to make all raid times

Time Zone:
Pst

Previous Guilds:
Drenden: Cataclysm: Fallen; Wrath:Fallen, Veterans of Valor, one knight stand, Brand New day
Koralistraza:Wrath: Wrecked(on my deathknight during this time, Agôny was the name and is now ânguish on drenden)
Gurubashi: Bc : The Torn Chapter( raided on my holy paladin which i deleted in wrath)

Previous Raiding Experience:
BC: Kara ZA SSC TK BT all cleared
Wrath:All content cleared Heroic modes in ulduar pre toc, Heroic toc, Heroic icc
Cata: 12/12 teir 11 2/7 FL

Why are you applying to us:
I applied on my shaman and decided to drop progressing on him due to lack of raid utility. Talked to wrathblood and asked if i should/could apply on my balance druid,He said to give it a shot. I recently moved her horde just for a change of pace currently have her in Drama Society. I dont have any issues with Drama society at all i just dont feel they are an aggressive enough raid setting for me.

A quick side-note, he raided with DS but they don't appear to keep logs of their runs anymore. Since you're on-server now, we'll find a way to run something with you as a trial, though if you get into a pug run before then, obviously go for it and post the WoL report.

I'm not very knowledgeable about Boomkin, and we do typically have at least 1 and often 2 druids in raids already (we have a regular resto healer and a bear tank), but even so, having the glyph of rebirth is an extremely valuable thing and I'd really recommend finding a way to work it in. Also, if things work out, I'd expect you to get going on your Hellscream rep to pick up a mirror. Even for dps those things great for reducing raid damage.

Read through EJ to brush up on what's appropriate boomkin gearing, and it looks like you've read it as well, as your spec, reforging, and enchants match up. That having been said, since we've got a frost dk spec'ed into chillblains and potentially as many as 3 hunters available for trapping, the Fungal Growth slow might be redundant whereas there's no such thing as too much AoE dps.

Tell me a little about boomkin single target vs aoe rotation.

Single target is pretty straight forward. Manage your dots use starsurge on cooldown and use wrath or starfire til eclipes are reached the switch to either starfire/wrath to eclipse the other way. Now that eclipse is so controlled it makes it easier to plan cds ect according to when you go into an eclipsed state. Aoe wise we have 3 spells Starfall, Wild Mushrooms, and hurricane. Typhoon is an aoe but very situational being that tanks get upset when you knock back trash. The reason specing for hurricane has always been a bad thing is because of the fact you run out of mana very quickly and it doesnt do significant enough damage unless you are eclipesed solar. I can respec and drop Fungal Growth, However having the dk spec out of chiliblains for other points would provide higher dpct because they have some talents that would benefit them more from a personal dps standpoint then myself getting points in Gale Winds.

you'd think so, but it tirns out he only loses like 50 dps as the remaining dps talents are really bad. its possible gale is worth even less if the abilities are situational enough.

All I keep hearing is "I don't care" whenever he says it doesn't bother me. Maybe I'm just twitching over 50 dps but yeah...

Actually the original logic was that it might be better for raid DPS to have Dalok respec.

dalok. grats on being an officer. read up on boomkin mechanics and let us know if we're better off with you in chillblains, a boomkin in fungal, both, or considering all the hunters, neither.

also, i prob wont be able to run monday night to give him a test run, and id like to see how he does against our dps. maybe sobie or dalok can organize? hesitant about using tuesday or tonight as testing runs.

Did a simulation to ease everyones pains about the respec issue. Taking points in Gale winds factors into ~154 dps loss. This is due to the mana cost of the spell this was on a "patchwerk" style fight. Futhermore i also ran it as a "helter skelter" fight and also sims at a loss though not as big as the 154 it is still a loss of ~29 dps. Because of this I will again recommend that if accepted you look at another class that would actually get a DPS gain of some sort instead of a flat loss across the board. As i said above look into having the DK respec instead of myself, as for hunters i dont know if it is a dps increase because ive never gone into heavy theorycrafting with that class.

I worked it out, not having improved frost presence (over chillblains) cost me ~87 DPS on Staghelm. That's the closest I can get to working it out without some really heavy duty theorycrafting and I'm not going to get that much into it for something that would be unnoticeable if at some point during the fight I sneezed.

Considering the negligible DPS difference and what we saw on Rag tonight the more snares the better I'd think.
