Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
I'm a dual weilding Frost DK, with an offspec for kiting if needed for a specific fight. I have been frost for as long as I can remember, so, a long time!

Ventrilo and do you have a mic:
Yes, and yes, I'm not very talkative unless I need to be though.

Do you have an authenticator?
No, i havent been hacked yet though, i'm very careful with my account info, but I could get one on my phone at any time.

Typical Weekly Playtime:
I play ALOT, every day, and I will always be able to raid.

Time Zone:
Eastern.

Previous Guilds:
Unseen Wrath.

Previous Raiding Experience:
I raided most of ICC, and I've raided alot of cata, downed all of BoT, Missing Nefarian in BWD, and Al Akir.

Why are you applying to us:
I really want to raid more, and progress. My guild doesnt seem to be doing that, and I hope you guys will let me!

Link us your Armory:

World of Logs Report:
http://www.worldoflo...cehj0myp5xz4qn/ (This is a ZG run that i did with Phayth on her mage and Wrathblood)

Do you know anyone in guild? If so please list your pals.
Wrathblood! :D

Tell us a bit about yourself:
Well, I'm a Warcrafter! I did pvp in alot of season 9, and i feel it has made me more raid aware, I recently started pve again, and geared up pretty fast with what gear I had before, and these new Zandalari heroics! All of my enchants and reforges are up to date.

Dark, since you're re-apping, you might want to walk through the stuff that you've changed and thought about, perhaps find a way to demonstrate that you've build on some of the things that came up before and show people what you know. At the moment, it looks like you pretty much just cut and pasted (with a couple small changes) what you had before. If you're going to app again, it needs to feel like a fresh effort.

I have told sobe what I think of this application, but for the benefit of Darkness ill recap in a few short words.

Lacks,
Effort.

Darkness you seem like a nice enough guy bar some pretty childish bullshit I have seen you type in trade, and you seem really excited about joining this guild but im still not seeing that translate into your application. After the amount of effort seen in the responses from your last thread by our members, im a little lost as to why you thought 1 sentence answers would cut it again.

let me try and give you some perspective of what looks great on an applications

Here's your response to the first question:

Here's the response I gave to roughly the exact same question when I first joined the guild in wrath:

I am healing Priest, and I almost always have been since I started playing this character back on my home realm of Chromaggus, when power word shield absorbed fall damage. I’ve been playing Priest for close to four years now, and I like to think I know a thing or two about specs.

Let’s look at my Holy spec (Disc is set-up for arena, although admittedly I am a bit of a noob this expansion in there). Some Priests take healing focus, but I have always found it skip-able, plus with the recent addition of Empowered Renew higher up in the tree, I love to max out Improved Renew in the first tier. I fill up the next few points in Divine Fury as filler, and work my way up the tree. Some Priests argue that Divine Fury is rather pointless because these days Greater Heal is a rare cast, but I find myself still pulling out 5-10% of my healing from GH.

You might ask, “Guin, what’s up with 1/3 Improved Healing?” I use the single point as filler to reach the next tier of talents, and as GH is only 5%ish of my healing on the average WWS, missing 10% mana on that spell is no great loss (I know it affects Divine Hymm as well, but what Priest in their right mind uses any mana casting that spell? Hint: Inner Focus).

Tiers 5&6 are predictably maxed out.

Some threads I have read in various think-tanks have argued the point of Blessed Resil>Empowered Healing, however I have found that I still yield greater results with the three points in EH. I guess we will leave this point open to your current experienced Priests, who may or may not agree.

The rest of my main spec is very standard; I have rolled with and without Test of Fate, but the way I see it that’s 12% healing when your raid needs it the most.

Any points of issue raised with my spec on the whole I will be quite happy to discuss because there is no single best spec for a holy Priest, you know with us being the jack of all trades in healing :o. If required I am also up to talking about my play style, and rotations, although I would prefer to talk over vent.

BTW: I plan on re-evaluating my glyphs, to remove flash heal with the renew one, and maybe Guardian Spirit with Prayer of Healing.

You may notice that I gem heavily for haste, and SP. One may also find that most of gear leans heavily on crit. I figure, they cancel each other out, but iv been working on picking up more haste gear. I'm aiming for about 300-450 haste, and no more then 25% crit raid buffed.

See what im getting at?
5minutes of your time to type out a well though out response goes a long way around here.

Good points Gunther. Our application process can be a pain in the ass (especially if you're horrible at / hate writing), but it's set up that way for a reason. It's admittedly much harder to get in the guild than it is to stay in. We rarely kick people because we're picky about who we bring in (and not just in terms of skill. Ability to take criticism, personality, all of it counts).

This app reminds me on many levels of Efebo, another DK we used to have in the guild. His first app was horrible and was rejected: http://www.heresiarc...page__hl__efebo

His second app was also horrible, but by that point he was fortunate enough to have gotten in some 10-mans we ran on off-nights so some people were able to vouch for his performance: http://www.heresiarc...febo-unholy-dk/

I had concerns about his knowledge of DK mechanics and there were some concerns about his maturity. An app isn't an essay contest, but if you type like a 12-year old you'll be perceived as one. From the comments you've made I gather you're in high school. He was also a clicker, and I make fun of him to this day for it (good-natured, of course).

We're a smaller guild now so chances are you won't get as lucky as he did and find an alt run to tag along on (we were a 25 man guild at the time). Since bringing every single person that shows interest to a trial raid would be a giant time-sink, we try to weed out bad fits through the initial application.

It's not a perfect process, but all we ask for is a little effort on your end. I'm out of touch with frost DKs, so when you apped I spent a few hours catching up on DKs and going through your logs. I seriously doubt you did the same when you apped, or have done so since, and you're the one playing the character. I do this for every single person that apps, even though 8 or 9 out of 10 end up not joining for various reasons.

And to make it clear, it's not that we expect you to spend every waking moment obsessing about your character - I do it because it's my job to make sure people are pulling their weight and to coordinate raids based on everyone's strengths/weaknesses. But it's your first impression to a bunch of people you could end up spending a lot of time with every week, at least pretend to give a shit.
