Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
I am presently Prot/Holy. Prot for the instant queues for randoms and Holy for raids. I have been healing as a holy pally since half way thru BC. Before that I was a priest healer.

Ventrilo and do you have a mic:
Yes I have vent but I never talk. So you will never have to tell me to shush on vent :)

Do you have an authenticator?
No authenticator.

Typical Weekly Playtime:
Typically I play everyday. But Sundays and Mondays are no good :( but all the other days I should be fully available.

Time Zone:
Presently EST but moving out west soon and will be MDT.

Previous Guilds:
Industry (Alliance Drenden) was the guild I did alot of my raiding in LK on. I moved over to Kitten Soup with a friend but that didnt work out.

Previous Raiding Experience:
I have been raiding since classic. As far as current content I have done 12/12 in reg and 2/13 in HM on another Holy Pally I have on a friend's server.

Why are you applying to us:
Keep running into wrathblood (on his various alts) and he has made quite an impression on me. Had a long talk with him and enjoyed all he said about the guild and its history/culture.

Link us your Armory:

World of Logs Report:
Dont have anything atm to show.

Do you know anyone in guild? If so please list your pals.
Cant say I know anyone all that well.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I might not talk in vent...but I will definitely type your eyes off in guild chat. :)

Chatted with him a good bit and seemed like a nice guy, knowledgeable about raiding and the game. Can't really speak to holy spec/gearing, but he healed a BH I tanked on my dk and it went well. Also, ran Stonecore with him on his hunter alt, which he was very proficient with. Whenever I've done stuff with him, he's executed it competently, and I've got a strong feeling that he's got his act together.

Gear's in good shape, good reforging, int/mastery gem in the legs are a bit weird but otherwise spot-on. I'd personally put 50 haste to boots and take pursuit of justice if you want run speed, but that's just me.

Healers are a bit tough to judge even with a log, and healing 5-mans are a joke with any kind of decently geared tank, so I'd like to hear your thoughts on raid healing a bit.

  • What addons do you use for healing? If you could provide a screenshot that would be great.
  • What's your healing strategy for healing Chimaeron?
  • Assuming the 2/13 HM included Halfus, what's your healing strategy for that fight, and which order do you prefer to release the adds in and why? (From a healing perspective)

Also, you need to teach Lataris how to use the forums.

What addons do you use for healing? I only use DBM, Decursive, and sometimes Recount. I dont like healbot or vuhdo. I macro up alot of things for healing and buffs throughout a fight.

What's your healing strategy for healing Chimaeron? For HM Chimmie we use 3 tanks...one not being a true tank but a ret pally with RF on. I have my beacon on the Ret pally who is doing the majority of the tanking while the bot is up. The double strike tank is my main focus to keep topped up while the bot is up. Just before a Massacre hits, and a possible feud could happen, I change my beacon to the other tank. When the bot is down the two "true" tanks will be tanking while the ret pally will be running to the group to share the damage. I have to get both tanks up quickly so I time my big heal to hit after the Massacre to get both of the tanks well on their way to be topped off for the tanking both will be doing during the bot down phase. I also do my radiance and LoD to help the healers with the group but only after the tanks are up. Once that phase is over I will put my beacon back on the Ret Pally and now focus on the new Double Strike tank (a new Double strike tank since since the old one now has stacks of break). Part of the way thru the fight I turn on my RF as well. To build up my threat so that when we get to the last phase I am high on the threat meter and die before a more useful person, ie dps.

As far as HM Halfus I dont pay attention particularly to what adds they release and in what order. I know that in our case, the Whelps are first to get controlled and killed along with one of the drakes. For healing that fight it is pretty easy. Just pop all your CDs in the first minute. If your tanks are great at getting aggro...your dps great at aoe...and your healers good and pumping out HPS and staying alive...then you win. As it gets easier as the drakes fall.

I have seen the Pursuit of justice build with a focus more on LOD. LOD is awesome...and moreso for 25 man as you dont have to position yourself as much...just point in a general area and you will effectively hit enough people to maximize that heal and the beacon. But WoG has its place as well...and can really rock for 10 man healing which is all I have been doing for Cata. Putting haste on boots therefore really bumps up the simcraft for a holy pally because it was bumped up by the value of weight given to that stat by EJ groups. But the speed from the enchant on the boots I think has a more practical value when it comes to it and is not measured by blind numbers. WoG rocks for Chimmie. Since everyone is so low in health a single holy power of WoG can go a long way. And getting a free heal is always nice.

Heh as far as that gem in the legs...yeah that was a gem a friend gave me at the time that they had on them. Forgot about it but maybe one day mastery will rock for us Holy Pallys :)

I like the app, but it doesn't look like the package deal is going to work out. Good luck to both of you.
