So anyone who isn't actually playing right now but likes to keep their characters up to date may have not heard yet.
But there is a feat of strength out atm for completing a quest line in Durotar, all characters are getting in game mail from NPC's about where to start the quest line.
MMOs blip about it

Fun little questline. Reminiscent of Retaking the Undercity, though far less tedious because you've usually got a couple dozen people doing it with you to speed things along.

I misread the title initially, thinking it was something about a Cata-pult (which just HAS to be there somewhere). Additionally, have you read about some of the new quests on Beta? There are some awesome quests. "The Day Deathwing Came" looks great as does the one where you're the quest giver and NPCs come and get quests from you.

Rohanna is officially stirring the Muck. Or perhaps she's Muck-raking.

Shardik was GL, then he left the game for a while and Mucknip (his old main was a lock but he swapped to a DK tank for WotLK) took over as GL and led Heresiarch until late Ulduar at which point he took a break from WoW. Shardik came back mid-Ulduar, so the timing worked out pretty well for a hand-off. Since it looks like Muck might potentially be coming back, it would make a for a smooth reverse hand-off.

Muck's style is different from Shardik's (a little more hard-nosed, perhaps?) and I'd say he's a little less personal touch and hands-on, which is good or bad depending on what you like. However, I give him a thumbs up for his general RL skills. It'll be interesting to see how much recruiting the guild needs to do.

I disagree with this greatly Muck was ALWAYS in vent, always willing to answer questions and help people and he did wonders for the guild. He did push people harder but he didn't cut out the weak unless there weakness was so great they weren't even functioning the raid.
Muck is like Sobe only without the mean comments on forums and in guild. He will raise his voice and call raiders out during raids, but he will turn around and give you everything you need to know or where to find information to improve.

Really? I always found Shardik to be more approachable on those sorts of things. Maybe it was a schedule thing. Perhaps a better way of putting it would be that Shardik's more "touchy-feely" than Muck.

Seems like Ashley took what you said about Muck as criticism and felt the need to defend him, though I read it as generally positive.

If Ryan's the nice guy and I'm the asshole, Muck's somewhere in between.

Also, for folks who are relatively new, you'll note that people who've been around for a while are generally viewing the potential return of the Muckster as a positive development rather than groaning with frustration.

Yes! That's exactly what I'm saying...
Wait, why am I suddenly guildless?

Alternative response:

Well, I did mean "touchy feely" in the BEST possible way. Meet you at the place later?
