Pretty much what I was getting at without saying it outright is that the Prot warrior tier gear is pretty god awful. The 4 set bonus is Amazing, but you lose too much EH stats to Threat in the stat distribution. It's just loaded with hit/expertise badness. The Pillars of Might are BiS. Nothin in Hardmode, tier, anything trumps them. The badge gear is pretty much superior for us. The chest is loaded with sockets, the gloves with bonus armor, belt with bonus armor. Bonus armor Bonus armor Bonus armor.
The dodge trinket is makes me sad inside honestly. I remember getting it... looking at it... throwing it in my bag and kept right on using The Black Heart.
As far as Mongoose goes for a Weapon enchant, it really only works for Pallies (59 Agi per 1% Dodge) and Druids (47 Agi per 1% Dodge) since we get and awesome 84 Agility per 1% Dodge coefficient. So by my tablecloth math, that's 1.4% Dodge for us and 240 Armor. so Blood Draining wins out for EH, and Blade Ward for Avoidance.

Well, I would have given a technical answer to the block question, but I wasn't necessarily expecting one. I was jus curious what he'd say.
He's gotten most (80 percent?) of his gearing/spec choices right* but mechanics knowledge seems weaker than I expected. Its also not a good sign that he's a tank who was in Asylum and I only have hazy memories of him. I remember jus about everyone and I pay attention to tanks. If you gave me a 2.3 pally talent chart and put a gun to my head, I could probably mostly recreate Yssa, Tigg and Riddle's specs from then. Maybe he joined after Malediction/Darkness Rising split off.
Anyway, this might sound funny, but I think he's worth throwing into Dreamwalker and seeing how he does. For tanks, awareness and reactions trump mechanics knowledge. The best warrior tank I've ever seen was Howie and his knowledge of tanking mechanics was less than optimal.
That having been said, its relatively easy for a geared tank to perform tolerably with ICC buffs. The hard part is taking that step to performing well. Alternatively, could throw him into VoA and see what kind of threat he can put out.

Threat's easy enough to test, just have him tank HoR while I'm on Stunbolt.
That is unfair to any warrior with how hard WW and cleave hit. I would even say fuck you sobe and let you tank mages and priests. L2Interrupt or die.

Let's just sub him in for Forte on HM Bql and see how he does
Nah, just have to stand there on BQL, and threat's not an issue when the bites start going out. Like Wrath said Dreamwalker is the ideal place to test awareness for tanks.
Aulann, if you're not saved to an ICC 10 I might run one tonight around 8ish server time. Almost finished gearing my prot pally so I might OT it.

Aulann, in case you haven't picked up on this by now, Heresiarch is an outstanding guild from a community standpoint and a great place to raid. But people can be blunt and, especially as a tank, if you don't have thick skin it can wear on people.

I was just messing with Forte
I know BQL is a lazy fight for tanks in general
It's shouldn't be considering it's still a dps race. Those tanks should be slamming GCD's with a high dps rotation.
