Discuss your talents.
The current plan is 35/23/3 mace spec. I have been prot in the past and it is what i originaly was going to do but the guild i joined has not commited to even 5 mans.

Ventrilo?
Ventrilo and teamspeak

Typical Weekly Playtime:
6-11:30 mon-thur/sun, fridays and saturdays vary sometimes it will be all day other times not at all. I am currently in a long distance relationship so some weekends i take off, but i come back sunday afternoon, she will always be more important then WoW.

Time Zone: Eastern

Previous Guilds:
Argent Dawn (warrior): Juggernaut(Heavy PvP server #1)
Lightninghoof (paladin,Hunter): Juggernaut(Heavy PvP server #1)
Chromaggus (prot warrior): Dominous (heavy raid and PvP)
Drenden : Brothers of Honor

Previous Raiding Experience:
ZG,MC,BWL,AQ20,AQ40(not clear)
Every battleground more times then they should ever be done.

Why are you applying to us?
My life doesn't allow me to play in hardcore guilds anymore. Also my current guild has been somewhat dissapointing and very annoying at times. I am tired of the constant walkthroughs i have to give to people who are to lazy to use thottbot. Most recently i have been getting stabbed in the back via group member poaching and people from my own guild stealing AH bids on me when they new i was camping the AH for it. When i was transferring here i was told they were all gearing up, but they rarely if ever do heroics, and spend most of their time playing alts instead of gearing mains. I am looking for a more mature and experienced guild who have not lost sight of the fun side of the game. I don't expect to be handed loot, or raid spots.

Anything else?
I took a break as my life picked up and became really busy. My friends got me back into it again and then bailed on me shortly after my xfer. So i am fairly new to the whole TBC but i endeavour to keep informed and am not afraid to ask if i don't know, but i will generaly just hit the forums or thott. I am fairly independant and farm my own gear when i can, i think this is why i tend to end up in the pvp end of things.  Currently i am level 69 as the Q times are quick and i still need to buy my epic belt. Mace smith/miner farming for thunder right now. If you are full on warriors i understand, im used to this from the past.

To whomever posted this on the Brothers of Honor forums.

Thanks for letting us know.  While we'd prefer he'd notify officers of any problems he might have and find it distasteful for him to apply for another guild while still being in BOH, it's not our policy to boot someone based on this kind of thing.  One of the things about our being admittedly "casual."

The app has since been moved to the officer's forum to avoid causing drama within the guild.

Thanks again,
Brothers of Honor Officer Corps.

Someone tattled on him, eh?

So... your guild wasn't the the right fit for Brick.  Sounds like talking to the officers about his problems wouldn't have changed much.  That doesn't mean you need to come here and post on his app in an attempt to sully it.  Keep your guild drama on your own forum, please.

This to me read like one of us going to BoH site and keeping the drama off of Heresiarch. If Brick applied here while in another guild and it was against that guild policy then whoever told BoH did the right thing. The last thing this guild needs is stolen talent drama. It is Bricks responsibility to leave a guild before he applies to another.

Also if I have this all wrong I am sorry but it looks cut and dry to me. Wanna join the guild? Great leave yours. Or at least make sure it is cool with them that you are indeed looking.

Thanks Itchy for reading into that... :) Indeed someone from Heresiarch posted the app on our forums. To save us the drama, we moved the app to a restricted area. We are not attempting to sully his app or call him out, but merely let the OP (who posted anonymously with a link to this thread) know that we appreciate the information.

I thought the same way, Itchy, and then I read a post on EJ (which means it must be true) which made me think about the flip side of the coin:

If you're in a situation that isn't perfect for you (heaven forbid, right?), what are your choices? Stay and suffer, or app around.

If the guild has a no apping rule (wtf), then you're now in a catch-22 situation. Either you risk everything on a wing and a prayer, or you sit and stew in silence. If we say no, then he's risked everything and lost everything. Do you really only want apps with nothing to lose? I don't want that kind of guilt every time I reject an app, and we can't fit everyone in the universe in the guild, so go ahead, high and mighty "Brothers of Honor Officer Corps" tell me how to sleep well at night.

And stop with the anonymous posts - either post as your character name, or shut up. I won't be lectured by cowards.

But the next time you think of the word "elitist," I want you to wonder what, exactly you call someone who puts the interests of others ahead of their own. Power is a position of service, and do you think you're really serving anyone's best interests with anything involved in this thread thusfar?

As for the drama, itself - we didn't recruit - seek out - Brick. He saught us out. That was his choice. We did not act, therefore, we cannot have acted maliciously (viz., "guild sniping"). Our apps are public for a reason, but let me ask you this...

Why did the reposter see the app here?

Well i was hoping this wouldn't happen, though i did think it may, as i have made myself stand out. This wasn't an act of betrayal or anything heinous, there are some members i get a long with in BoH but there are a lot of personality conflicts. Lets face it, I have a dominant personality which ineveitably will lead to them. There are many suggestions that i make having been in end game guilds, that have been flat out burned down even when others agree.

So i simply stopped trying, I was warned by several members in the guild not to respec prot as was my original intention. Many people have left since i have been there and there was never any problem with that. I have even tried to teach people, just last night i taught bigfreeze the beauty of hunters and strafe instead of backing up. There are likes and dislikes i just find myself frequently frustrated by the good enough attitude, i don't know if you have noticed but i never stop improving my character i had gear at 62 that 70's didnt even have. I cannot even find a partner for arena 2's.  Some people have just made some dick moves too theres no other way to put it, i call them on it and i get in trouble for saying dick, WTF!?

I intended to leave quitely. anyways when log in tonight i will gquit, and i retract my app seeing as it has devolved to this state. I simply thought heresiarch had more like minded people. You should remember i did transfer here and entered into your guild, neither of us knew what eachother was about, it was a gamble and it didn't pay off.

@ Skirt, tjuren, tumble if u read this thanks for the good times. Skirt especially you thanks for the help!

I'm curious as to who took it upon themselves to post this in the BoH forums.

no not past tense, but in reality it is probably best to let this sit awhile, there is no need to bring drama with me.

My apologies.  But I still think getting all uppity about someone apping to another guild is a bit much.

Anyone rational will hold one opinion that is not problematic.
Anyone irrational is irrational - pleasing them is like commanding the tide, Canute.

/Can of worms
It was wrong of whoever here to post Brick's app to his current guilds site. He's not happy where he is, he has every right to explore his options. For someone to go back & out him is wholly unprofessional. If i were to get the resume of someone that wanted to work with me, there is no justification for me to contact his current employer without asking his permission first. Even if i knew his current boss personally. It's no ones job here to police other people's decisions. The guy may be a jerkface, wholly unqualified, terrible fit, etc., but that still wouldn't give me the right to instigate a problem in his current situation.

True enough and I don't have a single thing against him. My only point would be to look out for the guild.

The scenario could be that we get Brick, gear him then BAM off to another guild. Sure he has every right to leave us when he wants but what if Bogarra just up and left to another guild one day doing the whole thing while in Heresiarch and under the radar.. He would have every right but I would be STEAMED like so many others (and you can't deny it would steam you too). We would have no one to blame as the writing was on the wall.

Not saying Brick would do this but look, he is doing this now....

I also agree that whoever posted on BoH forums was maybe a little out of line but maybe they thought the same as me. Maybe they know something we don't.

Brick please understand I seriously don't have a grudge against you and I only have my favorite guild in mind.

One time I dated this girl, Itchy, but it turned out she was a psycho, and this other girl was very nice. She said no because I have an established history of failed relationships, I mean, jeez, look at the last 20.

I can deny it would steam me too. As long as someone is honest, and considerate in so doing (a trend elsewhere is to often loot - especially asking people to pass on their turn at loot - and then leave), c'est la vie. Something a lot of people forget in their dealings is that we're all going to die. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, buddy. Living like we're going to hold onto anything - or anyone - forever is absurd. (Except for primary keys, noob)

Besides, in those few moments of jealous ex-girlfr-I mean, ex-guildmate bitterness, I'd remind myself that practically no guild is as filled of people who honestly care about one another as ours is, so they've inflicted their own worst punishment :P

If you are in a guild and post your app on a public guild app forum, you pretty much know someone is gonna find out. On that note when you make the decision to app to another guild it is most likely after alot of thought. Brick app'd to us, therefore he is done with <insert random guild> and doesnt really care what they think anymore. I doubt any guild member "snitched" was prolly some troller.. we are the number 1 horde guild and our apps forum is visted by numerous other guilds all the time.    Holla~~
