My Shadow build is; 14/0/57; fairly cookie cutter spec. Some Shadow priests opt not to pick up Inner Focus, as it is by no stretch of the imagination a real dps increase. I, however, have had more than one scenario in my guild where a properly-popped Inner Focus + Divine Hymn combo have saved my raid from wipe. Without it, I don't think my current guild would handle BQL's air phase very effectively. Other than that, since I have my 4pc t10, I removed Improved Mind Blast from my talent selection in order to place them in other locations: the only real places that I had to choose from were Improved Vampiric Embrace and Shadow Affinity. A vast majority of SPriests tend to pick up Improved VE, whereas I opted for the Shadow Affinity for threat reduction. It should be said that in my guild our tanks have a tendency to have latency or disconnecting issues, periods in time where they wont be effecting the mob with threat-inducing abilities for stretches of 5-15 seconds. Because of this, aggro can get very sketchy at times with everyone really having to watch what they're doing. If I were not to be placed in that situation, I would put my points into Improved Vampiric Embrace due to the increased healing (although it's still less than a Healing Stream totem)that would be gifted to the raid. Everything else is incredibly standard in a Shadow build, but if anyone sees any glaring flaws I'd be happy to hear them.
Since I do have a Holy Offpsec, I'll go ahead and touch on some minor points of my spec. First and foremost, my guild has 3-4 holy priests that log on incredibly sporadically, making them difficult to trust. However, when some of them do log on, I do not like it when my abilities clash with theirs. For this reason and this reason only, in combination with the fact that I run Heroics very, very often, I picked up Body and Soul, 3/3 Empowered Renew (most Cookie Cutter holy builds have this as only 1/3), 3/3 Improved Renew (many cookie cutter builds have this as 2/3), and Lolwell over throwing points into maxing out Empowered Healing or Test of Faith. Since Tank healing is no Holy Priest's strength, and I cast Flash Heal only as a result of Surge of Light's proc or immediate need of heal, I decided that instead of hoping for someone I'm healing to be under 35% hp, I'd rather pick up the few points in Empowered Healing that I had, since it benefits the Surge of Light procs that I'm using for Flash Heal always. Any more questions on this spec, I'd be happy to answer as well.
Ventrilo and do you have a mic:
But of course. And I give the mic mileage.
Typical Weekly Playtime:
I play a lot. I'll be starting some summer classes in June, but they're all 8 - 11 am classes, it's only Comp I and Comp II, and I'd stay up later than what you're raiding anyways.
Time Zone:
CST (Texas)
Previous Guilds:
For this character, I've only been in the guild I'm currently in, DoM of Blackwing Lair. Under a different character Sanctia, which I played through Vanilla and partway through BC, I was in Cold Pizza and Beer of Skullcrusher (now dead), took a free Character Transfer to Alterac Mountains and raided with Focused Aggression and Wendigo Brewing Company, and stopped playing before FA downed Kael'thas in TK.
Previous Raiding Experience:
MC: Cleared
BWL: Cleared
AQ40: Cleared through Emps, guild did not kill C'thun
Naxx40: Killed Razuveious, guild died before it went any further.
Kara: Cleared
Gruul's Lair: Cleared
Magtheridon's Lair: Cleared
SSC: Cleared
TK: Cleared to Kael'thas, I quit playing before I saw him dead.
ToC10: Cleared Normal.
ToC25: Cleared Normal.
ICC10: Cleared to Lich King Normal.
ICC25: Cleared to Sindra Normal.
Why are you applying to us:
I'm app'ing because Hecatus is one to bully and hassle until he gets others to do what he wants. But in truth, I'm apping because I'm sick of my current raiding situation, which I will explain in greater detail below.
Link us your Armory:

I'd ask that you please first excuse that I'm currently in my Holy gear - I logged out after doing a Heroic last night and the servers are currently down, preventing me from switching to my gear. Once the servers come up, I shall happily swap over to my Shadow gear for critique, but this also gives the chance at reviewing my OS gear.
Wow web stats reports:
http://www.worldoflo...e61/details/23/ - That is, unfortunately, probably the only time you'll find me as Shadow within the last month and a half, at least. More information on this below. Please note that Marrowgar and Deathwhisper are not my best attempts, with pretty low dot uptime. I discovered halfway through Deathwhisper that my roommate had just started torrenting. >>;;
Do you know anyone in guild? If so please list your pals.
Hecatus; I've known him online for a couple of years now.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
Warning; Wall of Text crits you for 9,001 damage!
I'm a 21 year old male from Texas. I like pizza, porn, and World of Warcraft - sometimes other things, but those three are pretty much dominating at the moment. Aside from those little tidbits of information, I'd like to go into some of the detail that I promised from my above about my current guild. As of right now in my guild, I have no "declared" Main Spec - the Raid Leader changes his mind more often than he changes shirts about what I should and should not be for the raid. Because of this, I have raided with all three of my trees extensively, sometimes being forced to respec on a per-fight basis to fit the requirement of the raid leader, and as such always carrying stacks of glyphs that I need for all three specs. It is by his request, or requirement, really, that I perform this action.
I've tried to make it clear to him that I would prefer to remain as one spec and be considered a primary "Something", but it does not happen. Because of this constant flip flop, I have had to pick up gear as I can get it, and when making difficult gear choices, I am always forced to try and pick the item that works for all three specs the most efficiently, since I have very little choice about what gear I can get. My pleas have been ignored by and large, and in combination with lack of raiders to fill raids, 10-20 minute afks that plague us after beating every other boss, and beating my face into the keyboard from sheer frustration, I've decided to look elsewhere for employment.
If questioned, I'm convinced that I can provide competent answers to any questions regarding the Priest class in almost all of its' capacity, all of the fights in ICC, including the differences between 10 and 25, Hard Mode and Regular, and I always come prepared with the gems/enchanting mats I need for new gear that I might get, as well as flasks/potions to increase my overall ability. I know how not to stand in fire, how to maintain dps as best as possible while mobile, and I've done a fair bit of research towards other classes and specs in order to be a competent judge of what is going wrong in certain scenarios, even if I'm the issue. I can only hope that these will outweigh whatever negativity can be shown on me from lack of gear or WoL reports.
