I got duel spec on my shaman and went ele/resto when she was about level 70-ish. Im quite comfortable in both specs and feel i play them both well.
I have what is a basic more cookie cutter elemental builds based on what I've seen. I did move 2 points out of convection and put them in improved fire nova,
as I rarely have mana issues and a little boost in dps is still a boost. I'm not dead set on keeping it so if someone were to want me to change it, id be more than happy to accommodate.
My resto build, I think may be a little different. Basically by taking 2 points out of "Healing Focus" and one Point out of "Ancestral Healing",
I was able to put 3 points into "elemental weapons" which increases my healing spell power by 10% from my earthliving weapon enchant.

Typical Weekly Playtime:
I'm available most weeknights after around 7-7:30 till usually around 1am server on days I work and most of the day/night on weekends.
I work retail so there will be exceptions but will always know ahead of time when I will and wont be able to make a scheduled event.

Central (3am server=2am my time)

I have not been playing wow long enough to have done any vanilla wow or BC content when it was current. I have since gone back and done some stuff like kara,
hyjal, and a few others.
Cleared most of Nax on 10 and 25, Parts of Ulduar. All of toc 10 and 25. Not much in heroic.
Some icc 10/25(10:Done 1st wing, Plague wing(except Professor, although i am familiar with the fights past from videos/watching "thecoldmage" do them),
Princes and seen but not downed Blood queen. Ive read the fights past there but haven't had an opportunity to actually see them.
25:Basically its just been the 1st wing and a little in the plague wing as most of my 25 experience, has unfortunately been in pugs.)
OS 10/25(3d on 25 and 10), EoE on 10, Ony on 10 and 25

Unfortunately, most of the logs that Im in are going to be with me as resto. I will put links to a couple of those just for the sake of showing you something.
With my current gear, at a dummy, I can do between 5.7 and 6.5k dps. I am quite confident that if the oppurtunity to get better gear arose, I would be able to do much better.

I'm fairly new to wow. My first 80 was around the time Toc came out. Im quiet but not afraid to talk and ask questions if i need to.
I prefer playing elemental but due to my guild usually needing me as a healer, I don't get much chance to get the gear as I've always tried to
focus on my healing set. I'm open to filling either a healing or a dps roll but i know you are specifically looking for a elemental shaman.

Heh. Abyssal Rune. Its just funny as we've been talking quite a bit lately about how amazingly good that trinket is for multiple classes/specs considering where it actually drops.

For the sake of clarification to any slower folks out there, I do believe TCM is her bf.
But yea Wrath, static haste and the amount of sp you get from the proc makes the Abyssal rune amazing for lotsa of intro dps.

I see that you're using a few pieces of Resto gear in your Ele set, which you mentioned and I can see how that would happen if your resto set is better.
Gemming however needs to be redone. Spellpower should go in ever slot regardless of color, with the exception of 2 Spellpower/stam gems (preferably in a spot where you can still score a socket bonus).
I love your trinkets and the fact that you have the Abyssal rune over that god awful Badge trinket. I'm going to assume that was a conscious choice and not just a coincidence.
As far as Talents, I'm not a big fan of Imp Fire Nova for Ele. There's some wiggle room with those points in Convenction if you're not having mana issues, but I prefer to shuffle them into Elemental Warding. Imp Fire nova is nice for Trash, but you have to have something like 3-4 targets in range of it for it to be a better use of your Global than Lightning bolt. There's also the major problem of having to run into range of whatever to drop it. TL:DR Imp Fire Nova sucks for bosses. I prefer 6% less damage
I see you're using the Triumph badge totem, why not upgrade to the Frost badge one?

Yeah due to the high spellpower/haste on my resto gear, some of it does work in my ele spec to a certain extent. I know I'll need to get the dps ashen verdict ring, and i can do that.
Yes I know I need the new frost badge totems, just due to the fact that recently its been quite difficult to get groups together in my current guild for icc with any regularity, frost badges are still a very valuable currency for gear upgrades for me. I only currently have one piece of Tier10 for me ele set, for instance.
I can work on the gemming issues, no problem.
I also can move around my talent points. I can definitely see your point. Noone wants a squishy shaman.

That was a trick question
The totem is the LAST item you want to upgrade with frost badges, it's only a minor upgrade over the triumph one.

But truthfully, yes, I did know that, which is why i don't have them yet. :}
I know i need them, but I need other stuff WAY more.
I do have one question though. When you say "Spellpower should go in ever slot regardless of color" do you mean just plain ole' runed cardinal rubies? If i switch everything to the runed ones, Id lose a big chunk of my haste.

Yes that is what I mean. Spellpower will give you more DPS than Haste. The stat priority for Ele goes Hit to cap > Spellpower > Haste > Crit > Int etc. I dunno how much more DPS you'll get but you can always plug the numbers into ZAP and check.
