Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
7/57/7
To be completely honest I only went this spec yesterday. I knew I'd have to go MM eventually so I finally bucked up and switched to armor pen.
2 things that I'm sure you'll point out that I will answer are:
1. I am over hit cap from talents. I know this, but I also know that from the gear I'm planning to get I will need that hit soon and the only other viable place to put those points was into efficiency but I don't have a mana problem in 25 man raids. The two points don't effect my DPS in the slightest, and will save me time and money when I do get the couple pieces of gear I need.
2. My armor pen is low. I know what gear I need to get it up, but compared to my DPS as survival I've seen a significant improvement.

Also, I know I have the T10 legs which are junk. I'm waiting on the pants from deathwhisper 25, and these dropped from VoA25.

Ventrilo and do you have a mic:
Yes

Typical Weekly Playtime:
Every current raid night is good with me, no conflicts.

Time Zone:
Newfoundland Time, AKA EST + an hour and a half.

Previous Guilds:
Gated Community, Dynasty, Backroom, and Equation

Previous Raiding Experience:
I've dabbled in Naxx, Ulduar, and ToC, but ICC would be the easiest to prove my worth as it is the current norm for raiding (and after new stuff comes out, my guilds tended to completely stop doing older stuff so I never had a chance to get some of the older stuff done). I've cleared everything in ICC10 but Syndragosa, Putricide, and of course the king himself. On 25 I've gone up to festergut, but I don't think I've been in a group that had the DPS to down him.

Why are you applying to us:
You guys are really good raiders and I think I could be a worth while addition. I want to raid with my friends, and I want to raid with some hunters who can kick my ass on the charts so I can stop having such a big head sometimes. That, and I like raiding.

Link us your Armory:
Armory link here.

Wow web stats reports:
World of Logs LinkThis is from a while back in my survival spec. I couldn't find a more recent one, but if you're willing to take my word on it I did a 25 ICC last night and topped the charts. Given it was a pug and most of the DPS was low, it doesn't mean much. But I have improved since this log,

Do you know anyone in guild? If so please list your pals.
Aif, Liliaa and Jurgle. I know a few others but not well enough to list.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I play WoW, I don't do a whole lot worth talking about outside. I used to be Linguistic (Which I'm sure you already knew from my name) but I went troll for the berserking and the dance. The first time I applied I made an ass of myself, I'm willing to admit that, but this time is different and I think I've improved my attitude. I also managed to get a world of logs this time so things are looking up.

Thank you for your time and your consideration, and I hope I'll get a chance to raid with you.

While I had issues with him the first time he app'ed, he certainly gets points for persistence.

Steady shots are low, particularly on high-movement fights.

Sniper training uptime plummets on high-movement fights, seems like you're not planning ahead enough to minimize movement.

Didn't refresh serpent sting immediately after getting bit on BQL (damage modifier doesn't update for SrS until you refresh manually, more of an issue for MM due to chimera).

I'd like to see an updated log of you playing as MM.

Interesting that you paid for a race change for the racials but still have skinning. (Also, orcs took top hunter race again since the LK weapon is a xbow :P) Not that it's a dealbreaker, but seems odd.

I've been working on SS since then, it was improved the last raid I did (Hoping I can find it on WoL, but if I can't you'll have to take my word for it), but I'll admit refreshing serpent sting when I should is still troubling me a bit, but I'll hopefully get it down when I get a bit more used to the spec.

As for skinning, I keep saying I'm going to level a different profession but I really should get around to it. Pure lazyness on my part.

I don't expect to be doing as much DPS as you do yet, but hopefully I'll be able to bridge the gap when I get more gear and master the new rotation.

Also, you know trolls are sexy. Embrace it.

I just tried to get a log, but once again the client refuses to love me.

For whatever reason, World of Logs client worked for me today.

Recorded a Toravon the Ice Watcher VoA PuG.

77% on Toravon, 23% on frozen orbs. I was second on DPS, just below a hunter who only did 70k to the frozen orbs the entire fight. Now I won't claim to understand how to read these logs and get a perfect depiction on how I did, so I can't critique myself there. But I will admit that I probably didn't switch Serpent Sting when I should have. But you asked for an updated log, and for better or worse there it is.

Not bad for switching targets, still could use some work with button mashing. Horrible use of CDs.

2 x Rapid Fires
1 x Readiness
1 x Berserking
1 x Call of the Wild

In a 3:46 fight it should look more like:

4 x Rapid Fires
2 x Readiness
2 x Berserking
1 x Call of the Wild

Should also be stacking your CDs with trinket + ring procs and Bloodlust, not seeing any of it (Bloodlust can be hard to plan for in pugs, but BL was popped 6 secs into the pull and you didn't use anything):

See how you get Icy Rage (trinket) and Frostforged Champion (ring) at 46:07 and BL at 46:12? That's when you need to blow your whole wad in Toravon's face.

I wouldn't expect you to beat Hyuuga (he outgears me) but you're probably around 1k-1.5k DPS lower than you should be (I'd personally expect to see Hyuuga around 13k for his gear, but /shrug).

Yes, I often suffer from "Giant mechanical crab" disorder, as named by "Yahtzee". If you don't get the reference, it's when you're playing a video game and you save your most powerful weapons (or in this case CDs) when doing one thing, just in case there is a larger more dangerous thing to come. In this case, since I generally pug raids from lack of guild I save most of my CDs for an "osht 3k gearscore paladin tank just died boss at 5%" moment. It's a habit I'm trying to get used to. Coupled with the recent switch from survival where Rapid fire/berserking were my only cooldowns and having less armor pen than I'd like to have I think my DPS is reasonable for now anyway, when I get better at the spec I believe I'll show some improvement. I know I can improve, I'm not perfect, and any pointers (which you've been kind enough to already start giving) are defiantly appreciated/noted.

EDIT: Also, I dumped skinning and am leveling BS.

I don't care about peopling improving from gear. Gear is easy to come by. I want to see people getting the most out of what they're wearing, and like I said he's at least 1k shy of his potential for his gear.

Here's our top 10 geared people going by ilvl (yes I hate going by ilvl, don't feel like doing the breakdown for all class/specs).

1. Shivaz
2. Dokmora
3. Guinthel (in shadow gear)
4. Sobieyet
5. Passa
6. Nuadaa
7. Savros
8. Aif
9. Charlagain
10. Schala

That doesn't include Shardik and Wrath (arguably our 2 best tanks), Meekah (our best healer), or any of our rogues (Shivaz and I are the only ones in that list consistently top 5 on DPS, and maybe Passa).

I am 100% willing and able to put in the extra effort it takes to get that extra 1k DPS from my gear if given the chance. I plan on working on cooldown management (as in actually using them) and refreshing Serpent Sting when I should, instead of losing the DPS by just letting it sit. I want to do the best I can, so if you have any other pointers you can say so here or even hit me up ingame on Riddler or Lethargic (my mining alt for getting the BS up) I'm always willing to listen if it will help me improve.

Message an officer in game for a chat when you get a chance, please and thanks.

Throw a message to an officer in game for an invite :-)

But this will be a trial run, you have a little bit of a reputation for having a bad attitude.
