I noticed last night that people kept making mention to sitters having more points and swapping in because of it. Does this mean that a sitting person who wants something off a particular boss can swap in for someone with lower DKP for that fight? I'm just curious.
Furthermore, is the DKP tab at the top, leading to EQDKP standings, the list that is used? And is it updated weekly?
Just dusting off my knowledge of DKP, so I had a few questions I didn't see answered in the stickies.

Its updated daily... ish... I try and update it after raids, but if we do the 10 man it may take until 5-6pm to get updated... 7 even if I am really slow, since I am on a different time zone.
So its updated Tuesday (or wednesday), wednesday (or thursday), thursday (or saturday), and sunday night.
Also yes, if Meekah and you want the same item, and I have sat him for the raid he can be like "Yo, I has more DKP, give me Romanov's spot" then I will switch him in for someone depending on whos in the raid, may not be you. I also give someone opportunity to say in healer chat "Hi, I really need rep/badges would I be able to have someones spot?" and people can volunteer if no one does, depending on the situation someone might get moved. Mostly depends on the boss and the raid make up.
Please though message an officer if you feel you are being treated unfairly.

One more question, though. I now see my name on the list, so it has been updated as of 6 April, but there's no points. Did new folks not earn any last night? I hate to sound bitchy, but it said that we needed to keep track of our own DKP in the sticky, so I am just asking anything I can think of.

Haha, yea don't mind Ash. She tends to come of as scary or irritated when people ask about dkp - I mean you're like the 50 bagillionth person XD (me being 50 bagillion-6)

Yeah don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure she hates me, and I suspect it's because for a while I played a character with a special character in the name. Special characters mess with the DKP machine so she had to input it manually.
