i can't help but think you should be doing a shitfuck load more dps then that, my death knight's wearing ulduar25-level gear and is using naxx10 level weapons and does around that much dps in 10mans. between 3.5k and 4k-ish, you know, spiking to 5k w/ cooldowns.

Inno, that picture WAS for a 10 man Naxx. As for beating on target dummies, it's not that worthwhile, since they distort the effects of diseases and other procs we have.

I did the weekly with Merovec yesterday on my Warlock and I have to say that he kept his cool when the healers we had were supremely sub-par. He didn't act like a jerk to them, though they really deserved it, which is a plus in my book.

As for spec and glyphs, they look good. Though if you got in here I'd respec to 0/54/17 because pulling aggro will not be an issue.

Gear also looks good, though I would use the Relentless Earthsiege meta (21 agi - easier to meet requirements for) and furthermore I'd replace all of the yellow sockets (where doing so would give you the socket bonus) with Inscribed Ametrines (10 str/10 crit) for the socket bonus. And it looks like you have the right gems in your chest but they're in the wrong sockets (are you getting the chest bonus?). I see from Armory you got the 264 cloak, just today, but it's already enchanted and gemmed, which shows some thoughtfulness.

Also, since you have Nerves of Cold Steel, you're way over the hit cap (ok 3% over) but since all that hit comes from gear, I would just keep in mind that you can replace some of your gear with +hit on it and not worry about it.

Only thing that worries me is using Unholy Presence. People have looked at this forever and there is no support for using Unholy Presence over Blood Presence. The difference might be minor (and for Frost I really don't know how big the diffs are) but if you do even 5 more DPS in Blood Presence why wouldn't you use it?

As for whether or not we need more DKs, on the one hand,

- we don't have that many DKs, only one much of the time but his network connection sucks donkey doodles

on the other hand,

- we seem to have a lot of plate wearing DPS - all of a sudden warriors coming out of our ears

on the other hand,

- we sharded that awesome belt that Dreamwalker dropped because nobody wanted it

on the other hand,

- we just started gearing up another DK last night (though I'm not sure if he's going to be a tank someday or not so)

on the other hand,

because if he can churn out 5-something-k dps on a dummy then we know his dps will be higher in 25-mans by a wide margin, least thats how it was for me back in the day on innocence, if I could bust out 2.5-3k dps on a dummy in 213s that meant my dps was going to be around 5k in on S3D

I do understand the issues with the training dummies and I factor them into my decisions when evaulating them. It is still good to take a gander at their parses to see what the hell their rotation looks like, if his melee white damage was higher than his obliterate, we'd know he was a farking idiot but its not so it's cool(Just an example, i'm definitely not into DK theory crafting any more)

Yeah Wrath, I tried calling Pumps out on it but she had just gotten a belt on the prior boss. And even tho we had like 6 paladins, nobody wanted/needed it for a DPS set (and Forte got it last week).

We usually let people trade stuff back if a better item drops off the next boss. No reason not to since you can trade the items back now.

As for the app, I consider recount screenshots as relevant as gear score - if either are present on an app that's an automatic "meh."

Really? Did you even look at that shit? The one from VoA wasn't even from the boss fight, it was from the total instance. You do realize that half of those people could've been afk for trash right? Even if they weren't afk, the spell breakdown is useless because:

A) You can't read it
B ) Since it includes trash, it's impossible to tell if he's using the proper rotation on bosses
C) /combatlog is really fucking hard

If you read the rest of my post, then no. That you included the total and not the boss attempt in the first place makes me think of those DKs you run into in randoms that post recount after 2 trash pulls showing their 4k DPS.
