From mmo-champion.
Icecrown Citadel Zone-Buff is here
The optional zone buff in the Icecrown Citadel is now available and will make the instance easier for whoever wants to use it. The buff currently increases total health, healing done and damage dealt by 5% but higher versions are in-game and will probably be activated later.

I am a raging elitist that has to not only grab all of the free attention ever available but grind peoples' faces in the sheer glory of how much better I am than them. Let me go find some screenshots to post that will prove I have worth...

Did you guys see this will go up month-by-month, not weekly?
oh wait that's speculation from worldofraids I think. Maybe that's not right. But I like padding my post count so I'll leave it.

The Icecrown Citadel buff to make the instance easier over time has now been activated as of the rolling restarts today, so it should be active on EU realms tomorrow. As mentioned in Blizzcast 13, it came about a month after The Lich King first became killable, so we can probably expect it to "rank up" to higher versions about once a month as well.
x% of more health, healing and damage dealt
5% (March 2nd, 2010)
10% (April 6th, 2010)
15% (May 4th, 2010)
20% (June 1st, 2010)
25% (July 6th, 2010)
30% (August 3rd, 2010)
x% of more health, healing and damage dealt

I wasn't around for all of last night, but as the buff stacks ICC is going to get crazy-easy. ICC was fairly well tuned, and adding the buffs skews things pretty substantially. 5% more health is a lot of extra safety margin and 5% more healing makes up that lost health quicker and 5% more damage means the mob dies in less time. Compared with normal, Fester felt like he was hitting like a little girl. When it gets to 30%, I think a lock in pvp gear or a shaman could probably tank Fester with 0 or possibly even 1 inhale. Long enough to get a few stacks of bloat.

I don't think we could kill hard mode Arthas without a 30% boost. With it? Shrug, we'll see when we get there. But if it is 6 months off then we're fairly close to the expansion, BT was a joke after 3.0.

I dont remember BT being all that bad, even when we were clearing it. Then again, our raid roster back then was solid so could just have been the people.
Hyjal on the other hand... :X

So, +5% every 4 weeks, eh? That puts +30% as arriving somewhere in July. MMO-champion reports that the Cataclysm beta is very likely to start in April, suggesting a Sept/Oct launch date. If they're going for an early Sept start date, that'd be 6 weeks which seems about right.
Still, I'll be really disappointed if they don't introduce an instance that deals with that damn huge snake tail.
