The fact that it improved your boomkin dps by over a thousand is a clear indicator that you didn't mash enough =/

It only boosted mine by like 200 x.x

That was ultimately what drove me away from DDO, interestingly enough. Hot-key mapping wasn't very good, so you kinda had to click on stuff and it was much more of a "twitch" game than WoW. Potentially, you could do a LOT of clicking. A 2h barbarian build with a slow swing timer wasn't so bad, but my dual-wield ranger who threw 7 attacks every ~3 seconds was enough for Mrs Wrath to threaten me with bodily harm if I couldn't find a way to cut down on the god-damn clicking.

Ok, this isn't actually the right thread to post this, but it'll do.

Back in the OTHER AHK thread (which I now can't find) Sobe posted the amazingly tight global times for this super amazing ele shaman in his l33t guild. At the time, I was like "WTF? He's casting FASTER than the haste-hard cap on GCDs! How's he doing that?" and there was some unsatisfying answer about how he did it.

That always bugged me. Well, I bet this is how he did it, and he won't be able to do it anymore. See the blue post at #246.

It will probably still fall under the same rules as it did for this expansion and the others. Technically it's against the ToS since you are gaining an unfair advantage by using external software to improve your performance. However, I don't think there is any real way for them to even know if you are using AHK. They could possibly test to see if you are repeating keys at an extremely fast rate, but if they aren't checking for it now I doubt they have added these kind of checks in.
I think AHK might be a little less useful with the changes they are making to the gcd queue. There are options in beta now that let you pick a certain number of ms during the gcd where you can queue up another spell. So instead of having to wait for the gcd timer to hit 0 before you can cast another spell you can have an ability queued up and ready to go as soon as the gcd cooldown expires.

I think Deceax hit it pretty much exactly, with the only caveat being that, imo, its absolutely trivial for Blizzard to figure out if someone is using AHK (or something similar) if they feel like looking for it. They are certainly aware that it exists and that plenty of people use it, and, afaik, there have been zero bans for it. That's not to say that they won't change their mind in the future, but I feel comfortable with it.

Wouldn't do anything. Pinning would make it show up as the 2nd thread from the top of this sub-forum, but it was already the 3rd thread from the top in the sub-forum.
