For Targeting the melee adds:
/target Tyrius Duskblade
/cast Chains of Ice
/run SendChatMessage("DK is attacking " .. UnitName("targettarget"))
/run SendChatMessage("DK is after "..UnitName("targettarget").."!","RAID")
/target Baelnor Lightbearer
/cast Chains of Ice
/run SendChatMessage("Paladin is attacking " .. UnitName("targettarget"))
/run SendChatMessage("Paladin is after "..UnitName("targettarget").."!","RAID")
/target Irieth Shadowstep
/cast chains of ice
/run SendChatMessage("Rogue is attacking " .. UnitName("targettarget"))
/run SendChatMessage("Rogue is after "..UnitName("targettarget").."!","RAID")
/target Shaabad
/cast chains of ice
/run SendChatMessage("Shaman is attacking " .. UnitName("targettarget"))
/run SendChatMessage("Shaman is after "..UnitName("targettarget").."!","RAID")
/target Shocuul
/cast chains of ice
/run SendChatMessage("Warrior is attacking " .. UnitName("targettarget"))
/run SendChatMessage("Warrior is after "..UnitName("targettarget").."!","RAID")
These are personal macros that I use on my DK when fighting Faction Champs on heroic. They target the specific melee Mob and cast Chains of Ice. Then they announce in two ways. They are extremely useful in keeping the pesky melee from one shotting clothies.
NOTE: The warrior and rogue have shadowstep and charge. You may need to deathgrip them after casting the targeting macro.

No it does spam. The spam is for the person being targeted by that melee person. In case they aren't paying attention. We have a couple napping mages and locks that the rogue and warrior find chewy and tasty.
