Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
Yo, Imma fookin Elemental shamanz, i LEIK LITENING BOLTZ ...Just ask Ryan...My favorite thing to do, is shoot them, oh and chain lightning on the pull. For reals tho, I use the cookie cutter spec, I would make changes if I could...But you know, There isn't much room for play.

Any ways, I'm serious about Elemental, I leveled elemental, I PVP elemental...I have two specs. Elemental and Elemental. Sup!

Ventrilo and do you have a mic:
Of course cuties. *gigglesnicker*

Typical Weekly Playtime:
Shit, this is a hard one...Umm, I can promis I will make 50% of the raids...but knowing me, I'll develop a complex about it, and beat myself up if I miss even one raid, so What maybe start out as 50% will probably turn into 100% again. Far as extracaricular playtime goes, I dunno.

Time Zone:
Inno is on Inno-time. Which goes something like Noon, Flirt-o-clock, Lunch, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock Flirt-o-clock Flirt-o-clock, Dinner, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock, Flirt-o-clock, Sleep.

or something.(CST)

Previous Guilds:
God...

Like...I was in Requiem like a year and a half ago...Before that...Alteric Valley Trade Co. On Windrunner. And Umm..yeah idk, I can't remember. It occures to me, that as far as this server goes, I've only ever mained in were top raiding guilds...raise da roof.

Previous Raiding Experience:
Basically...Everything up to ICC...which I haven't touched.

Why are you applying to us:
Cuz there is like 10 people who want me to come back and raid plus im getting bored of other shit and while tedious at times, Raiding is generally drama free, while the other recreational things I do...are not...so fuck drama, raid more...nice story.

Link us your Armory:
It's down atm, sorry. I do like 6k dps tho... =D

Wow web stats reports:
none that are recent...though, "You were typically top 5" - Sobe

Do you know anyone in guild? If so please list your pals.
I love nuadaa, I have a crush on sobe, Brent is my best buddy, Rystorm is a hottie, Ryan is the best guild leader in the world, I'm secretly in love with Velk, Me an Joshua are BFF's, I web-cam chatted with Pumps once(oh and I've seen her in her underwear, that counts for something, right?) Len is my favorite Officer, Serror is a dick, Ashley is a sweetheart, Stabs is secretly gay, Shit..now I'm starting to have to think...I guess I could mention Karela, since she is my best friend INRL, but she doesn't PLAY DIS GAME NO MO...Kevin to. Kevin gives good hugs ^-^ ... Umm...I know Zaken a bit, she's pretty bangin...FML I know I am going to forget some one and then they are going to throw a fit at me because of it. >.< SORRY I LOVE YOU TOO

Tell us a bit about yourself:
Umm...i aint tellin u no sekretz >.<

This a shitty app

Inno taught me how to not suck at Ele shammy :D. Even tho she left me out of her shoutout section, could have been like "Forte my padawan learner" but nooo.

Also, no armory link

Oh it's down, I'm awesome at reading.

Hrm...

Having Oro be around the past few nights made me realize how much personal DPS I was losing out on by not using Fire Ele, and being able to throw Searin totem is pretty huge boost as well. Moral of the Story - Giving up personal DPS for better Raid DPS does not a bad Ele shammy make.

Sarth3D is your defense? Really? Perhaps you'd like to link your 2 min Patchwerk achievement next.

And don't be fooled, Brent's not gud.

Also, I didn't know totem of wrath was a 3k DPS loss. Because that's what Inno will outDPS you by if you're both in ICC gear.

And there are shaman out there that can outDPS my hunter from time to time - even when I'm not behind on gear.

Hold on I have something stuck in my throat.

It occurs to me that there's no sense in arguing with you since I'll never be good enough till I'm doing 10k DPS. Must be nice to have hard mode gear and bad ass trinkets etc. So until someone who doesn't think everyone is horrible has a problem with my DPS, I'm just gonna ignore it.

Heh. While I'm all for continuous improvement, bashing Forte for failing to match the dps generated during a 2:54 marrowgar kill isn't completely fair. I do see the point is that Lowe is leading a very strong raid in damage done while while Forte is not, and perhaps having Inno come back will help. IMO, having Civic and Oshi together benefited both of them. Perhaps 2 ele shamans can synergize intellectually.

lawl

Forte take it easy babe, Sobe's bark is worse than his bite, I put up with the shit for 6 months before I realized the jackass was only doin it cuz he likes me and wants to see me perform harder.

You shoulda seen the verbal lashing I got over tanking one time...yeesh

nah, trust me...sobe, ehh, he's a special flavor of jackass. I don't think you remember dalok, but dalok was a real ass hole, sobe I think legitimately wants to help.

Hell, he helped me! *snickersnorts*

Honestly, Sobe smacking me with "The Lowe" is what got me in line, so I can see why he's tossing it at Forte. Lowe's a goddamn badass and when you, as an elemental shaman, try and live up to that expectation, magic happens.

What I intend on doing is, once I perfect the fights Forte does poorly in, i'm going to fraps them and send him the videos so it can be like he is watching me play over my shoulder. I asked him to do the reverse so I could analyze his playstyle, but his computer aint gud, so thats out...

any ways...we'll see what happens... Much loves <3

Blaming your gear is about the most disgusting thing you could do. I can guarantee that I could hop on your toon in the exact same gear and outDPS you by 2k within a week, and I've never played an elemental shaman. Mashing buttons is hard.

Going by DKP earned (so assuming they're raiding more), here are the following people I haven't criticized in the past month or so:

- Civic
- Shardik
- Nuadaa (zomg!)
- Bearforceone
- Aif
- Lazattack
- Morbisha
- Eyesore
- Stabandtwirl
- Meekah
- Wrathblood
- Selarina
- Kidkill
- LavaDK
- Krathis
- Pumps
- Shifa
- Shivaz
- Deceax
- Adelyn
- Oshibo (no longer in the guild, but he was a good player)

People I may have joked around with, but don't really consider terrible. Still not doing as well as they should (as are a number of people in the previous list) but close enough where it's not worth an @ thread:

- Rystorm
- Rohanna
- Thebrian (mentioned his ret DPS could be better, hardly a dealbreaker)
- Serror (only here for my Unholyfury dig from a few weeks back, otherwise doesn't really belong here)
- Risika (not cover-your-eyes-bad, but riding that mediocre train. Especially with Shivaz showing her up)
- Guinthel (Our best holy priest, still like to make fun of him since he's racist)
- Charlagain (Middle-of-the-road, only here because of my joke about Dalok)
- Passa
- Revolt

People that have gotten targeted criticism, and not necessarily in a nice way

I'll grant you the lack of tact if you want to argue it, but hard to deny that their performance hasn't warranted it. Get gud. Or actually mediocre. That's usually enough if you don't want to hear it.

I'm not saying Forte should be putting up those numbers. I don't compare things out of context. I'm saying he should be doing much better for his gear/class, and the logs were intended as proof that shaman can occasionally beat rogues/mages/hunters/every other class in the game when played correctly. The fact that he's consistently one of our worst ranged DPS in ICC makes him the new Nuadaa. As Inno mentioned in her app, she was top 5 DPS on her shaman, and Forte is riding bottom 5.

I'm not gonna improve any if you just bash me and say I suck without any way to improve. Just gonna piss me off and make me stop playing because I'm no longer having fun. So if you're going to say I suck, tell me how to improve not just "you suck" because that isn't helpfull. When you say "you suck go talk to Inno" and I do that and Inno says "You're doing pretty good" then I'm just getting mixed messages.

I can't play everyone's class for them. Having to keep up with the theorycrafting for all 10 classes with 3 trees is just not feasible. You should know enough about your class to figure out where you're lacking. It's much easier to see where you stand up as DPS than tanks and healers.

Don't worry about raw DPS. See how many casts you're getting off, DPS time, where/when DPS spikes, unnecessary movement, CD/trinket usage. As I've told you before (and you've agreed) your DPS time is fairly high, so you're probably not spamming your buttons enough in between.

There's no magic secret that all these other shaman are using, just push your buttons faster and you win. It sounds stupid but when you get 10 LBs off while someone gets 12 in the exact same gear, you get owned. The most basic skill in this game is pushing the buttons that make you pew pew - the great majority of raiders fail at it. Ironically enough this is harder to fix than someone who doesn't know how to play their class. It's simple to tell people to use these talents/gems/spells but if they can't push the button they're hopeless.

I haven't seen you raid in 3 months, don't drag me into this home boy....I'm comparing my shitty self to you from that time we hit up Sunwell and you pooned me.

We'll see how we stack up in the mix, if you're consistently at the bottom, then we'll talk.

You really shouldn't let it get you down, btw...Nuadaa is a prochamp for not letting sobe and everybody else get him down. I'm the same way, man, i'm the most bashed person in this friggin guild, if you go by "total bashes to date since joining" unless you count Shama (Who STILL gets shit talked about him almost a year AFTER He leaves the guild LOL)

You gota under stand that if they didn't think you was worth it, they wouldn't bring yo ass. I've -seen- people get dropped outa this guild like they was hot, granted I see a lot of other people who SHOULD get dropped, but your personality makes up for your badness, just like dalok's DPS used to make up for his shit personality.

it comes and goes both ways.

don't sweat it.

I will reiterate one thing Inno said though, if I thought you were a lost cause I wouldn't bother. I'd just be like "demote this dude yo." After the turnarounds of Rystorm and Nuadaa I give people plenty of rope to hang themselves with.

And imo I haven't even criticized you that much. It's worst when you play the same class I do, but the flip-side is that I can usually tell you exactly what you need to change.

That's the kind of criticism that helps me, I didn't even think to go look into the logs about where my damage is going down and why. Now with some Ele shammies comeing back I can see how many spells I'm getting off vs them, I couldn't do that before. Mashing is what I've been workin on recently and I think it's been helping. I'm gonna be focusing more on minimizing my movement now, thinks like you had mentioned in another thread the difference between taking 10 steps left when you only need to take 5.

As far as Cooldowns go for Ele you just hit it when it comes up. You actually DON'T want to hit Elemental Mastery along with Bloodlust, because you'll be hitting that GCD haste cap.

This is false.

I use [Zerking and Ele mastery] or [Zerking and lust] or [Ele Mastery and Lust] at the same time, my LBs get to like .9 cast time, but that just means I get to mash buttons more. A real pro will pop lust, then zerking, then when zerking is over, pop Ele mastery...Now thats how its done, sone.

I zerk and EM at the same time. Then if it's up around when we lust I wait for lust to end then hit Zerk/EM soon as it does.

You also have to count in Trinket procs and my Engineering gloves. If I were to hit Zerk or EM during BL with the Trinket and engy gloves, it would just be a waste because the GCD would prevent me from casting as fast as my haste would be allowing me.

so Download Power aura's and program it to tell you when your trinkets and shit proc, I generally watch my trinket procs, OR i can just tell when they proc, when my LBs start hitting for 11k, i know i've got a SP boost, when my LBs' suddenly start firing off .2 seconds faster, I know my Spider has proc'd ... Umm, legitimately, you should have a pretty good idea of how often thats gonna happen, you know, between everything else going on i know its hard to keep track of, which is why I suggest power auras....I know im not perfect and fuck it up a lot, but that is generally what I go for. so like, if you know spider just popped, and they lust, its cool to use elem mastery or w/e along with lust
