Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:
I am a Blood DK for DPS spec. Currently 51/0/20 I specced into blood over Unholy as I like the playstyle better, it allows for maximization for damage from auto attacks,
gives me the opportunity for up to 6 blood rune abilities, ( heart strike, bb, pestilence ) during the cooldown period. Blood worms are a passive healing and minor dps add, hysteria for the DPS
boost it can give either myself or another physical dps class; not to mention the abom might which gives a 10% raid bonus to attack power.
I've been specced this way for several months, but I'm always open to suggestions if there are any tweaks that might be seen.

Yes, I have ventrilo and a mic; but generally do the listening.

Generally I'm available most nights.

Eastern, of course
Previous Guilds:
All previous guilds were on the Scarlet Crusade Realm.
Most recently
The Order of Mjolnir ( joined just recently but had RL issues and wasn't on much before the server/faction change )

The Order of Mjolnir was a top 20 guild, but with the RL issues, wasn't able to fit in, the previous 2 guilds were more of a friendly, passive raiding guilds, we generally had enough to do 10 man runs, but very occasionally we needed to pug friends out of guilds on the server and we could not guarantee a run every week, (as one of the friends was the main tank.
Previous Raiding Experience:
25 naxx (full clear on shaman, partial clear on DK)
10 Ulduar up to Hodir kill
10 Ulduar fought Freya
Why are you applying to us:
I know Rystorm, and he happened to mention that several DK's had left the guild and that you were looking for DPS DK's.

I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to DKs but from looking at some stuff the only problems he seems to be having is that he isn't using enough Heart Strikes in his rotation and he isn't squeezing many Death Coils in as well.

First thing I see is that the talents and glyphs are in line with what I pulled off of Elitist Jerks with about 2 minutes of research, so looks like he has the standard blood build correct.
He may already be working on it, but it seems like he should be in a lot more ilevel 226 gear from running Heroics. Maybe even at least 1 piece of t9 gear from doing the daily heroic every day, but there's no telling when this character got to level 80 so he may have just not picked up enough triumph badges yet. Back, Gloves, Sigil (Dunno if it's better than the one he has, just the badge one is higher ilevel), pants etc could all be upgraded from straight up Conquest or Valor badges. I don't really know DK stuff but you could be picking up higher ilevel gear with badges, unless the lower ilevel stuff is better. That's the only observation I can make with my limited knowledge of DKs.
So I guess my questions are;
1) Is the lower ilevel stuff better?
2) If not what's the reason for not having all the stuff you can pick up from badges?
Edit - Actually I see a 245 ring, so I'm assuming your triumph badges went towards the biggest upgrade?

I briefly checked you out the other night and your spec looks fine, gear and enchants looks fine, the only two comments I would give on gear are these:
1. You're not at the hit cap (you're 2 under it). If you insert an epic +hit gem in your bracers where you have the uncommon one you'll be at the hit cap.
2. You seem to loooove the socket bonuses on your gear. Since Strength > all, you should replace some of the gems you are using for bonuses with +str gems (Haste bonus for you isn't that useful, so replace the non-hit gems in gloves and pants). I would even put a Soverign cut in the helmet over what you have (Expertise is good but Strength is still better).
I will look at the log when I have time, but I don't know that much about Blood myself. I did notice your DPS was low, but I attribute that to gear more than playstyle at this point (your DPS time seemed fine).
