I figured I'd give this a shot. After all, what have I got to lose?

Discuss your talents and tell us how long you have been this particular spec:

~I've been using my secondary Arcane spec since dual specs came out. 57/3/11. I may be respecing into Slow. Adding that to my arsenal could be fun, methinks.

Ventrilo and do you have a mic:

~I do, indeed. But I'm an incredibly nervous person, so don't be shocked if I don't speak. I usually listen off of my husband's Vent, anyway.

Typical Weekly Playtime:

~Generally evening times, with flexibility for weekends. If I sign up for a raid, tho, I will be there. No questions about it.

Time Zone:

~Eastern, yay!

Previous Guilds:

~Oh god, so many. Of the ones I can remember: On Maelstrom, Worst Case Scenario, Thirteen Apostles and then Overpowered Peons. Transferred to Drenden, went to Ninjas Only, then Kitten Soup for a spell before Wrath, then to Is Malicious, and hopefully, with you lovely ladies and gentlemen soon!

Previous Raiding Experience:

~I was big into BC raiding. I got to see up to Black Temple content, and oh was it glorious. I've done about half of the Wrath content: parts of Naxx, most of Ulduar, up to Faction Champions in ToC. I'd like to see more, though, and I think I'm ready to make the commitment necessary to do that.

Why are you applying to us:

~Honestly? Because my husband did. He's been in with you guys for a day or two now, though, and he says that you guys are really chill, and that we'd be compatible people. And because I'd like to progress my character. I know that my gear isn't the best, but I make up for it with skill and common sense. I hope that I can get the chance to prove that to y'all. =)

Link us your Armory:

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...n&n=Shiraki

~I know, you're totally impressed by my awesome gear, right? /end sarcasm.

Wow web stats reports:

~Apparently, my previous guild didn't wanna do that? In all honesty, I had no idea what it was until the hubs told me.

Do you know anyone in guild? If so please list your pals.

~Just some newbies from Is Malicious: Forte, my husband. Sixdemonbag, Freebee.

Tell us a bit about yourself:

~My name is Nikki, I'm 24, unemployed, hoping to start cosmetology school soon, fangirl over anime and video games ALL THE TIME, cosplay on occasion, enjoy mochi with red bean paste, aaaaaaand I have bunnies.

I'm just one of our mages, not an officer, but here's my 2 cents:

Arcane Spec / Glyphs seem solid (except for Arcane Fortitude, plan on tanking? ;-) )

You've got 6% hit from talents, and your hit's at just over 11%, so I'm assuming you wanted to be hit-capped assuming no 3% hit debuff. Under that assumption, the hit gems make sense and seem to indicate that you know what's going on. Though if we do end up bringing you in (we've got a lot of mages at the moment with the addition of the new one) you'll probably want to swap them out for pure sp gems or sp / spirit in a blue slot if you need the bonus as we've -generally- got a SPriest or Boomkin in the raid.

Head enchant's a bit odd for PvE. You're exalted with Kirin Tor, should pick up the 30 sp / 20 crit. Shoulder enchant isn't terrible considering the lack of Hodir rep, but I know we like to see people took the time to do the Hodir grind. Missing enchants on bracer, boots, chest.

Overall, attitude and gearing seem pretty good. We've got a bunch of mages at the moment, but that's for an officer to address. One thing I expect that they'll ask for if you don't have a WWS or WoL parse is a recount screenshot of a couple of fights, maybe. We're not huge on what gear you have, as long as you make good use of what you've got.

Too kind of add what Thothe said (not an officer either lulz).

The app is really solid, I would advise getting exalted Hodir (shows commitment) or picking up Inscription for the enchant.

Not that I know a whole lot about mages, but you seem to know how to gem/enchant/glyph and the spec seems pretty standard from what I've seen.

Also** whos your husband? Is he the new shaman? :o

Ooh, a reply already!

When I first did my arcane build, I just looked up a cookie cutter spec online and was done with it. After submitting my app, I started looking at things, and yeah. I feel a bit sheepish. Mage tank, pfft.

I originally got the head enchant because well, it was cheap. I hate dailies, so gold can be a little tight. And at the time, it didn't seem like much of a difference. I've got a new head piece from Onyxia waiting in my bag (just need to get a gem cut so I can equip it), and I don't think putting the Kirin Tor enchant on it will be a big deal at all. I know I'm still missing a few things, which is why I said that I know my gear is kinda... well... ungood. I'm definitely willing to do whatever y'all need me to do to get badass, tho. And if that means doing dailies to get the money... *sigh*

I'm gonna go hit the training dummy in a few minutes. Screenshots to follow! =)

What's the point of having a husband if you're not going to steal his gold? And just a heads up, we provide basic enchants and consumables but you're responsible for repairs, head/leg enchants, respecs, etc. As a clothie repairs aren't too bad, but if you happen to like dry-humping fire I'd set aside +100g per week.

heh, maybe I'm just too much of a gentleman to yoink his gold...? maybe I should start being a jerk and take it anyway. "oh don't worry hun, I'll pay you back... just not with gold..." *nudge nudge wink wink*

but hey, getting enchant hook-ups are pretty BA. that's awfully nice of y'all to do that for people. <3

100g a week is plenty for raiding. If you have good attendance, you probably don't need to farm at all. Most nights I run a positive gold balance from the gold that the bosses drops. That's not the case on progression nights, clearly, but I think we are getting 5-10g per boss these days.
That which doesn't kill you gets to try again later.

Yea, its been a guild policy (kind of a motivation to raid type thing) for as long as I can remember.

Back on topic, seems like a pretty solid app (something in short supply these days)

Well, that certainly puts a slightly different spin on Danny Elfman's body of work. Pedobear gives it two thumbs up.

Nice clothing ensemble for Elfman in the video, plus bonus points for early Peter Dinklage appearance.

To get this a little back on Topic

after talking to Forte for a bit last night he seems like a really cool dude, and I think he will fit in well, so obvious bonus points for being his wife. your gear looks decent, and the spec we can fix up a bit along with gems/chants etc, we have solid mages already in guild who can work with you to get you to Bad ass status. Ill have to talk with some of the officers tonight and see what they say and I will get in touch before our raid time if you will be on.

rofl, I leave to watch The Office (since servers were down, so I couldn't smack the training dummy around) and I come back to Oingo Boingo and pedobear thread hijacking! ...nice job, guys. =)

I'll be on sometime before 8 PM eastern time, if you need to talk with me. looking forward to hearing something from y'all.
