Ran heroic UK and 10-man VoA with him earlier. He did pretty poorly in UK (sub 2k dps), but wasn't bad in VoA (wasn't a strong group, but we got Koralon after a few tries. He was consistently in the low 3s and was first or second in damage done on the attempts).

Are you saying that you did 5-7k damage on your main, or on your lock?
I don't understand some of your socketing choices. Sure, +spirit doesn't hurt a warlock now as it used to, but why go for it instead of straight damage? Do the numbers make the +spirit a valuable stack for warlocks to be stacking?

Spirit is actually great depending on your gearing and if you're using glyph of life tap (which he isn't). For my particular setup spirit is the 3rd best stat, behind SP and haste and ahead of crit. 30% of spirit converts to SP from Fel Armor, and another 20% from glyph of life tap. SP wins over haste/spirit/crit by a good margin, but I don't have an issue with his choice on the chest gem. Everything else looks spot on.
