Goblins and Worgen?

According to MMO-champion, goblins and worgen will be the new races in the Maelstrom expansion (guess that bit about Draconoids was just a red herring). If goblin paladins become an option, you'll be able to measure Wrathblood's remaining lifespan with an egg timer, unless race change becomes an option. Goblin paladins. How cool would that be?

Personally don't think that signifies anything, but if it was accurate, I think it would be cool to get Worgen. But like I said, they are just halloween masks, doesn't really mean anything, the Draconoids in the interview was merely an example he used, wasn't a bait and switch, and hell, could still be them.
Now, IF these were the two races, and we only each got one.. (Who's to say Blizz wouldn't bring us yet a new feature, that being new, shared races..) ..I imagine we'd get the Gobbos. Our Lore Shares a lot of history with them, at least throughout the Warcraft RTS games.. ...I don't know how they would reason out Worgen playing nice with anyone, but hell, Alliance got Space Aliens, so I guess they can reason anything out.
Worgen Druid for me, go go race change. (Not that I still believe those will be new races..)

There aren't any female Worgen models in the game, and now there is a mask for one.
I admit, it does seem to be on a kind of 'line' between possibly true and retardedly false.
By the time the expansion comes out, I may have already leveled every class in the game to 80 though.
I've already got something like 7 of the 10 done or in the works. So I'm not sure how much I care about new races any ways.

I understand where they are getting it from, but I think it's a bit flimsy (get it?) not to mention early to go running through the streets stating unequivocally that these ARE the races for an expansion that's, at this point, some time off. Could they be? Sure, but so could Sporeggar and Arakkoa, and the only thing that separates the likelyhood is a few random masks we might see during the Halloween event?
At this point, I just see it as another case of where media was calling Jackson dead before he actually was.. ..did he die? Sure. Was he actually dead yet? Nope. But they called it because they wanted to be known as the first to say it to be so.

Yeah I can agree with the media hype idea. Bouville doesn't strike me as the kind of person to do that but I haven't been reading mmo-champion long enough to know, it certainly isn't a tabloid though.
I think it was said somewhere "that Gilneas was going to be in the next expansion, by a blizzard employee in an interview", that might not be true, but if it is, Worgen would make good sense.
Another idea to put to use would be this up coming faction change option and the idea that these two new races are non-exclusive and when you create them you have the option of choosing either horde or alliance, i could see them adding phasing to Gilneas so that two seperate starter quest area's exist, one leading you eventually out of Gilneas, into silver pine and then into hillsbrad and to either Tarren Mill or Southshore.
Beyond that, if the new expansion is the Maelstrom, I've been reading about a place called Undermine, which is apparently the Goblin Capitol, which would be pretty neat to add as the new Neutral hub. Adding it as the Neutral hub -and- making Goblins a new playable race would also facilitate them being able to choose factions at creation.
With the levelcap coming to be 90, another ambitious endeaver they might make, would be to stream line leveling so that it more closely resembles what you find in ghostlands/Bloodmyst isle.
As it stands, unless you want to mindlessly grind instances, questing from 22-58 is pretty bad. you get quests that are to high level, there aren't enough in a zone and so subsequently you are forced to go to a different zone to get more quests -or- grind.
But really, it -really- really is just all speculation at this point.
All we can do is sit on our hands and wonder and hope if Blizzard will announce anything at Blizzcon this year, I am hoping they do. Not that I'm getting tired of this expansion or anything, but hearing about new upcoming things is always nice.

Certainly they haven't been 100%, but when they've come out and said "X is going to happen" their track record has been pretty good. Also, while its not so much the case this time, in the past when they've made these sorts of definitive predictions, they'll say something like "We think X is going to happen because of Y and Z", but they'll also suggest that in addition to Y and Z, they're also aware of A and B, which also confirm their prediction, but for whatever reason they can't share A and B.

That's really while I'm not a fan of things like this, as I don't subscribe to speculation.
The dual faction thing, which I as well mentioned in my original post, I'd like to see if anything was going to occur. They've placed Goblins as Neutral.. and really, I suppose I'd just like to be a Worgen... and screw being alliance. =p ..I guess I could have one for my Ally AH alt.. but that doesn't sound like much fun. =p
Worgen as a new druid race for both factions, I could dig that, with the ability to change race. (Why can we change factions before we can change races..?)
..but yeah, Blizzcon is drawing closer.

Got me there.
I was looking forward to having my Night Elf Druid become a horde.
but nooo, she'd have to be a Tauren after the switch.
Half the reason she's Alliance and Not horde is because I think Night Elves are pretty. Hehe, so that idea is out.

But, if she's a Tauren, if you are tired of her you can have burgers...

But don't mind those, they were only added for Boubouille's sake.
If you didn't see Worldofraids.com post on the expansion races, at least the Alliance one, you can find that here.
I may have to start visiting world of Raids.

Yeah, I'm a fan, sometimes they have the news out first, sometimes MMO does, but one thing is that Worldofraids typically lacks the commentary, sticking to the facts/updates, and doesn't lend to gossip/conjecture as much. I found their responce to MMO's flying LEAP at the new races very, very amusing.
