Talent
My talent tree is composed of 20 points in Assassination, 0 points in Combat, and 41 points in Subtlety.
This is a nice PvP/PvE build for high bursts of Damage and a nice +10% attack power and +15% Agility, however for hard-core raiding I can always switch back to 41/20/0 for a nice sustainable DPS build.
** Note: I respecc'd to 41/20/0.
I'm a dagger rogue, and generally I love doing high bursts of damage with Backstab and Ambush, along with some other stun-lock goodness :).
Ventrilio
Indeed, I have Ventrilio and know how to use it well. At the moment I don't have a working Microphone, so I can still listen but can't reply to anything however.
Typical Daily Playtime and Time Zone
Since I just got back, I've been playing for a good 10-15 hours a day, on holidays. On Weekdays I can play for about the same, seeing as I goto School and all I can't stay up past 1:30 or so at night. But other then that I'm usually on from 3:30 PM server time to 1:30 AM. :) I live in a Canadian time zone (Eastern Time, GMT -05:00).
Previous Guilds
At the moment I'm in the Fifth Column, and did a nice Karahzan run with them.
- [li]Fifth Column[/li]
[li]Fist of Fate[/li]
[li]Carnival of Carnage[/li]
[li]Bloodline Limit[/li]
- [li]Elite[/li][li]
- I was kicked out of Fist of Fate for lying about my age, just for the record I'm 14 years old, and I love World of Warcraft :).
- I left Carnival of Carnage for a few reasons: for one I felt uncomfortable reading their guild chat, but the people there where nice since it broke up.
- I left Elite almost the second I joined, when I had joined it had very little Activity.
- Bloodlime Limit was my own guild, I had a lot of fun with it but I had to leave to join a raiding guild when I reached 70.
- Fifth Column, I haven't left yet however if I get into this fine guild I will. Reason I will be leaving is because it doesn't raid Karahzan as often as I'd like to, and it doesn't have many available tanks and healers.
Raiding Experiences
Ah, where do I begin?
I've read up on all of the big raid instances like Gruul's, Karahzan, Temptest Keep, Black Temple, Hyjal's Past, etc., enough to know them like the back of my hand, I know a lot of strategies to kill many of them too. In actual experience, I have done most of Karahzan and I'm pretty well educated. I have a few Karahzan items, and an engineering plan for a nice scope I picked up there (lol).
Heres an example of a strategy for a boss I know from Black Temple if this at all helps with my application,
Supremus, Black Temple, Second Boss:
He has three main abilities, Molten Flame, Hateful Strike, and Volcano.
Molten Flame does from 2400 - 2700 or so fire damage, it will pick a target and will move across the ground in the direction of that player, anyone who is caught in its path will get the damage, so its best to avoid it by shimmying to the left, just a little :).
Hateful Strike can do roughly 7000 damage, Supremus picks his victim based off the player with the Second highest amount of health, this is inevitable and is nice to make sure the person with the 2nd highest amount of health is a tank or something that can withstand the melee damage. A Feral Druid or Warrior are ideal for this position.
Volcano is a nasty AoE, doing from 3800 to 4500 damage per second, this is only for the second phase of the fight!
So we know his abilities, and now his phases. Supremus has two phases and switches back and forth between them every or so minute. In his first phase he is Tankable, and spawns Molten Flame and does Hateful Strike, he is definitely tankable in the First phase. He drops threat everytime he shifts phases, in his second phase you can aggro him back, however that'll be a tad hard, the best thing to do is avoid him for one minute or get a tank back on him as he will be chasing after random players, this only lasts for one minute. A Paladins Avenger's shield + Exorcism will get him interested again :). The best tank for this fight is a Paladin for many reasons due to their ranged threat moves and such. After the phase switches, get that paladin to aggro him back with Exorcism.
Thats just one of the many strategies I know. I could go on for a page and a half describing him.
Why are you applying to us?
Well, for one I need a reliable raiding guild with a complete schedule. The guild I'm in at the moment doesn't raid Karahzan as often as I'd like them to, I can usually get in a run every 3 or so weeks if I'm lucky, usually they can't run due to lack of healers and tanks. I'm pretty useful as far as PvE goes.
Additional Stuff
I'm a 375 miner, and 352-ish Engineer. Deathblow Goggles ftw! I'm pretty much maxed out in everything except for cooking, amd a few points in Lock Picking :P.
Did I mention I love to do raid instances? I find them the funnest thing to do in World of Warcraft, and I will always love 'em!
I'm also keyed for all Heroics, if thats at all necessary.
Thank you in advance!
Yours truely,
Aeroth
