This topic is lockedWelcome! During the first 3 weeks with Heresiarch you will be on a trial status. This is for us to determine if you 1) mesh with our guild 2) can play your class to your full potential (or be willing to learn) and 3) can take ribbing. During this time you may roll on items, however, priority for hard mode gear/tier pieces/weapons/trinkets go to veterans for main spec.
Note: The 3 weeks are a trial period and are by no means the maximum amount of raids. If you are flaky with attendance, performance or anything that doesn't shine well on you, your trial can be extended. We like to give people chances, but we also ask that you do not waste our time.
DKP no longer used for 10-mans. If we ever go back to 25s, we'll probably reinstate it. We currently use free rolls with main spec > off spec. While everyone loves shiny epics, we try to be fair about how gear is distributed. If you're rolling against someone and you see that it's a bigger upgrade for them, passing to them is perfectly fine (though you are not obligated to by any means). Just don't be a jerk and you have nothing to worry about. See below for specifics.
There are items that will simply be rolled off by everyone, such as:

Precious' tabard
And items that are taken by an officer or set person like:
BoEs - BoEs needed for main spec can be rolled on; for offspec/alts you can purchase them from the guild bank for considerably below market value. Otherwise they will be sold on the AH to fund our flasks/feasts/repairs/etc.

The officers will pick a reliable player of each profession to obtain this first, once this person has them other guild members will be allowed to roll on the pattern. If you see a pattern in the guild bank you would like to have you may ask an officer if you would be able to obtain this pattern.
We however hold the right to not allow people patterns and if you are caught selling said pattern on the AH (we will find out don't worry) you will not be allowed to obtain patterns from us anymore.
Rare Mounts:
These will be offered as free roll to anyone not in trial status.
Miscellaneous items that may not fall into any of these categories (Shadowmourne chest with multiple items for instance) will be discussed by officers in advance.
You will earn DKP for killing a boss or sitting in ready to take someone's spot. This means you are online in some form (alt or main) or in vent and able to get to the instance in 5 minutes. People logging in, answering attendance and logging out and not being available will not be awarded DKP for the night. If you logged in just before the DKP call consistantly you will not be eligible to earn DKP for that night. To avoid hoarding of DKP, there will be a zeroing out of raids more than 90 days old. This means that you will no longer have the DKP from an older raid but any items purchased will be refunded to you. *Attendance will be taken every hour after 8pm until the raid is over. It is your responsibility to answer these calls! If you are not sure you should be answering these, answer anyways, the officers will sort it out when they are updating.*
Currently loot cost is calculated by the mod ItemLevelDKP; we use a slightly modified formula so feel free to ask the raid leader what the item costs. Off-spec items are free. Item that have an ilevel of less than 239 are half price. Items with an ilevel less than 219 are free.
Also VoA boss loot is given out on a greed/need roll basis, need for main set greed for off set, pass if you can't use or don't want, your rank doesn't matter in this instance.
With the new disenchant option YOU ARE NEVER to use this in a guild raid.
Items will be awarded via "king of the hill". If you want the item and you are top of your current DKP out of all interested, it is yours. In case of close amounts of current DKP, defined as within 10 points from the winning amount, all members that are within 10 DKP of highest bidder will be allowed to roll off. When you are awarded an item, you are charged DKP for said item and your DKP will go down allowing the next highest person to move up as "king of the hill".
The only exception to the above is bidding on off-spec items. If you attempt to bid on an item that does not fit your main raid spec over someone who is that main raid spec, the item goes to the main spec. Specs are broadly defined as roles in a raid. For a healer, a DPS item is off-spec. For a DPS, a weapon that you have not focused your talents on is not considered off-spec.
Some examples:
SomeSpriest has 150 DKP and Somemage has 75. The pattern for the boots of blasting drop. Both players are interested. Both are DPS as their main spec. SomeSpriest wins with 150DKP.
Somerestodruid has 200 DKP and Someferaldruid has 165DKP. Staff of Wildfury drops and both are interested. Someferaldruid wins the staff as they are feral spec for the raid.
There will be gray areas but they will be resolved on the spot by attending officers.
Passing on items that are a large upgrade for your toon so that you can "save" for something else will not be allowed. The point is to gear our toons to progress. The officers reserve the right to make a call on someone taking an item if it is a large upgrade over what they are currently wearing regardless if they did not bid. This will only apply to items that may be sharded.
All raid and item values have been adjusted. The DKP will be updated after raids or early the next day. It is your responsibility to make sure your DKP value is correct (IE: You did not get counted for a night for some reason or you did not get charged for an item. Yes, we fully expect this sort of honesty from everyone.). We may be making adjustment to a few items, so be prepared.
You earn DKP for the following:
Farmed Bosses: 5 DKP
Progression Bosses: 8 DKP
First Kills: 20 DKP
(VoA bosses award no DKP)
The officers reserve the right to remove DKP for habitual late comers, people who do not have required mods, are not repaired or have the needed consumables or reagents to raid that evening.
Loot during Raids:
We use an addon KRT when the boss is looted in raid you will see:

If you want a said item type the corresponding number if you want more than item you put a comma in between like:

or
2, 3
If you want an item for offset you type off after the number like:
4 off
If you want a main and offset item you would type something like
2. 4 off
You however cannot offset BOE items, you may buy them from the guild bank at a reduced price if this is the option you want.
This addon keeps your DKP for you so you do not need to know it however visiting the DKP site to make sure that you weren't wrongly charged is still a good idea and the website can be found down in the member chat.
When we are bidding off orbs you will see an officer in raid link the orb like:
Raid "DKP Orbs"
to which if you wanted you would type back in raid "DKP" to show you are interested and one of the officers running the DKP addon will look up your DKP for you to make this faster.
